At a Glance: Our Commitment to You

We want you to have the best experience possible at Actors Connection. Here are the “Big Four” things to know before you dive in:

Industry-Leading Guests: Our guests are active, high-level pros. Because their professional work comes first, schedules can shift.
Credit-First Policy: We do not offer monetary refunds. If a guest reschedules or you can’t make it (with proper notice), your investment is protected via AC Account Credit that never expires.
Privacy is Priority: We never sell your data. Your personal and financial information is protected by industry-standard encryption.
Professional Content: Video clips are provided as a courtesy for your personal study for most of our classes and intensives. To protect the room, please do not record sessions or post class footage to social media.

Schedule & Reschedule Policy
Actors Connection reserves the right to reschedule any seminar, class, or event. Due to the fluid nature of the entertainment industry and the professional demands on our guests, schedules may shift for a variety of reasons. In the event of a reschedule, we will notify all registrants immediately. If you are unable to attend the new date, your registration fee will be automatically issued as a credit to your A.C. account. Please note that a reschedule does not constitute grounds for a monetary refund.

Refund & Credit Policy
To maintain the quality of our programs, all purchases are final and non-refundable. We understand that an actor’s schedule is fluid; therefore, we offer a flexible credit system in lieu of refunds.

Seminar Cancellations: Cancellations made via your online account at least 48 hours prior to the event will receive full AC account credit.
Classes & Intensives: Cancellations must be made at least 7 days prior to the start date to receive AC account credit.

Each time you purchase and register for a Seminar, Class, Intensive, or Event you will be required acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy. While we cannot provide monetary refunds, your AC credit never expires, ensuring the value of your investment remains available for your career whenever you are ready to use it.

Video Recording & Social Media
To protect the intellectual property of our guests and the privacy of your fellow actors, personal recording of any session—in whole or in part—is strictly prohibited. We ask that you refrain from posting any session footage or proprietary seminar materials to social media platforms.

Educational Video Clips (Classes and Intensives)
As a courtesy, Actors Connection sometimes records on-camera work for educational review. When available, these clips are provided for your personal study and download. Video clips are not guaranteed.

Usage: These videos are intended for private educational use only. They are not authorized for public posting on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other public-facing site.

Your Information & Privacy
We value your trust. Actors Connection does not share, sell, or rent your personal information to third parties. We collect data only to process your registrations, improve our services via optional surveys, or keep you updated via our newsletter.

Payment Security
Your financial safety is a priority. We use industry-standard SSL encryption to protect your data during transactions. To ensure maximum security, credit card details are never stored on our web-enabled servers.

Limitation of Liability
Actors Connection provides a platform for professional development and networking. While we aim for a seamless digital experience, Actors Connection, its employees, and its contractors are not liable for any damages resulting from the use of our website, technical interruptions, or reliance on provided information. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made with 4 weeks advance notice before the program start date for a full Actors Connection credit to be issued. Cancellations made 2-4 weeks before the program start date will be partially credited after incurring a $250 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the start date will not be credited and will incur a $250 cancellation fee. There are no refunds for Broadway Connection.

VO Class New York: Lessons Go Beyond Acting

Voice Over (VO) Lessons Teach Versatility

So you’ve already taken acting classes. Why do you need to learn voice over? Doesn’t acting already teach the proper way to deliver a line? Technically yes, but professional voice over requires a lot more technique than just an authentic sounding line. Taking a VO Class in New York teaches additional skills beyond traditional acting to properly deliver the pitch and cadence required by voice overs. You learn control over your voice so you can be directed for whatever the commercial requires. Detail is everything. Certain tones need to be hit on a specific cadence, pitches need to come down at the end of the sentence, and certain words will need highlighted, depending on the message to be conveyed.

Taking a VO class gives you more versatile skills in which to land a job. Professional acting is a demanding career. You might be auditioning for Broadway while doing voice over gigs to pay the rent. Voice over lessons really teach an actor to think on his feet. Most voice overs are read directly from the script, so you learn the skills of quick response and rapid interpretation. You learn to work with a creative director and deliver a specific sound, the key to acting. Voice over teaches more than just acting, but it can dramatically improve your skills as an actor.

People don’t actually see those who do voice overs, but that doesn’t mean you’re invisible. “Whether the general public chooses to acknowledge it or not, voice-over matters,” Geena Davis once said in an interview. “Everyone watches movie trailers, everyone sees commercials on television or they hear them on the radio and that is power.” A voice over class can connect you to that power, and more importantly, land a real acting job that pays the bills as you look for your big break.

MANY STARS HAVE DONE VOICE OVER

Leslie Nielsen, the star of the Naked Gun movies, first started out in voice over, narrating commercials and several science documentaries long before his famous role in the Airplane movies. He had a distinctive voice that was perfect for voice overs, one that added credibility and fun to the rote science documentary. Peter Coyote continues to do voice over for the Ken Burns films with a voice that adds authenticity and drama to the history portrayed. Even Morgan Freeman has supplied voice over to the recent Conan the Barbarian movie. Good voice over is far from generic. It’s real acting, and in many ways requires a particular skill most actors overlook.

VO CLASSES ESSENTIAL TO AN ACTOR’S TRAINING

Taking a VO class is critical to an actors training. A class can teach you how to use your voice and vastly improve your auditioning capabilities. You’ll be able to just read a script and provide the right voice. It helps you think on your feet, an essential skill for any actor.
