3:00pm. Actors Connection is honored to have Broadway, film and television stars Jayne Atkinson (2 time Tony Award nominee and Karen Hayes on the acclaimed series 24) and Michel Gill(Broadway-A Man For All Seasons) in for an Acting Masterclass. This incredible husband and wife duo will start off working and coaching randomly picked actors on one contemporary 1-2 minute monologue that you will have prepared in advance. After coaching, they will finish with an informal Q&A. Please upload to your AC account your headshot/resume and update your profile for this special Masterclass. JAYNE ATKINSON(-GILL): Jayne played her first comedic role at age 10 as Cinderella – comedic because having missed the shoe-fitting due to a cold, the "glass slipper" was 2 sizes too small! Never a shy girl, as the audience laughed uproariously she looked out at them and said" "You try wearing this!" Jayne is a graduate of Northwestern and has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama, which she considers to be far better than Juilliard. Her Broadway credits include: The first revival of All My Sons, Ivanov at Lincoln Center opposite Kevin Kline, The Rainmaker with Woody Harrelson, Our Town with Paul Newman, Enchanted April with Molly Ringwald and most recently, Blithe Spirit co-starring with the inimitable Angela Lanesbury. OFF-B'WAY: The Skriker (Public Theatre), Henry VIII (NY Shakespeare Fest.) How I Learned to Drive (Vinyard), Vagina Monologues (Westside Theatre), and The Art of Success (Manhattan Theatre Club). REGIONAL: The Long Wharf, Berkshire Theatre Festival, The Old Globe, Williamstown. Film and TV credits include: Free Willy I & II (made her very popular with 4th graders), M. Knight Shyamalan's The Village, Syriana, Psychoanalysis Changed My Life, 12, Holding, Handsome Harry with Jamie Sheridan, The Education of Max Bickford with Richard Dreyfuss, Law & Order, Karen Hayes on the acclaimed series 24 and most recently recurring roles on Criminal Minds and Gossip Girl. There are Tony and Drama Desk Nominations and an Outer Critic Circle award and such, but her biggest reward is that of wife to Mich and mother to their beautiful son, Jeremy James. Her favorite role to date has been The Actress in THE GUARDSMAN by Ferenc Molnar opposite her husband, Michel Gill, at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. You can find out more at Jaynezone.com MICHEL GILL: Mich began acting at the tender age of 5 the minute he found out that the brother he had been promised was called Natasha. He pretended it wasn't true! Since then, Mich has performed some of the biggest and most important roles known to mankind, beginning with one of the hunters in Peter and the Wolf. At 19, much to his parent's chagrin, he dropped out of Tufts University, auditioned and was accepted to the Juilliard School of Drama, which he considers to be far better than Yale!!! His Broadway credits include: A Man For All Seasons (Roundabout w/ Frank Langella) Off-B'WAY: World Premiere - The Milliner (Director's Co. at CSC) Speaking in Tongues (Roundabout) A Winter'sTale (CSC w/ David Strathairn) Naked (CSC) Othello (N.Y. Shakespeare Fest. w/ Christopher Walken and Raul Julia) Lincoln Portrait (Joyce Theatre) Da Caravvaggio (MCC) Coyote Ugly (New York Theatre Workshop) REGIONAL: Yale Rep., Long Wharf, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Folger, Old Globe, Huntington, Portland Stage, Alley, Great Lakes, Pittsburgh Public. FILM/TV: Ideal, To Forget Palermo, Protocol, "Law and Order:CI," "L.A. Law," "Guiding Light," "All My Children." Mich will be shooting "PATIENT 001" in October, 2010. There are no nominations or awards of any kind. He's not at all bitter or resentful about this, if you must know. And even if there were …. his reward as that of husband to Jayne and father to their beautiful son, Jeremy James, would outshine them all. His favorite role to date has been The Actor in THE GUARDSMAN by Ferenc Molnar opposite his wife, Jayne Atkinson, at the Berkshire Theatre Festival.
