In Person: SEMINAR with JIM DALY, Agent, bloc NYC

JIM has been the head of the Theatrical Department at Bloc NYC for over 16 years. 

He has clients in most hit Broadway shows including HARRY POTTER, SPAMALOT, KIMBERLY AKIMBO, HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO, & JULIET, HAMILTON, ALADDIN, and MOULIN ROUGE!

Bloc clients are also featured on the tours of BEETLEJUICE, FROZEN, FUNNY GIRL, HAMILTON, and THE WIZ along with making regular appearances on episodics ranging from The Equalizer to SVU and FBI to Blue Bloods.

Jim has SIGNED several of our AC actors from seminars and special events.

After a Q&A he'll see Monologues, Sides with a Reader or Songs ONE on ONE.

Please note that this in person seminar will be at:

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

Pearl Studios has two addresses:

500 8th Avenue, 3rd and 4th floors
and across the street
519 8th Avenue, 12th floor
(between 35th and 36th)

All studios labeled with numbers are at 500 8th Avenue, 3rd and 4th floors.
All studios labeled with letters are at 519 8th Avenue, 12th floor.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in TWO song choices (one full song and a contrasting 16 bar cut) OR ONE scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

IN ADDITION: Please bring TWO HARD COPIES of your scene - one highlighted FOR THE READER

If you choose to do a scene, please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.lease note that an accompanist will NOT be provided. 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

If you have an emergency for a class you are participating in outside of these hours, please email help@actorsconnection.com and your host will be able to respond.

**No recording of any kind is permitted by participants during class.**
