AC is thrilled to welcome the always busy Jamibeth Margolis to teach this One Night Only Musical Theater Master Class!

Her previous credits include the Broadway and National Touring Companies of such hits as Les Miserables, The Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon, Cats, and Jane Eyre as well as two dozen other shows on Broadway.

She currently casts for Broadway, Off Broadway, National Touring Companies and shows for prominent regional theaters and all of the major theater festivals in NYC.  She is proud to cast for National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene.  Her casting office is dedicated to the development of new plays and musicals.  

Jamibeth cast HARMONY on Broadway this season and is currently casting and directing a new musical Off-Broadway called WINESDAY opening in May at the Theatre Center in midtown and casting for Maine State Music Theatre as well as many readings, workshops, benefits and recordings of new musicals and plays for streaming platforms. 

For this Master Class, please prepare 2 contrasting 16 bar cuts and please bring your book as Jamibeth may want to hear something additional.

The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for her using your prepared material in a group format. She will coach, give direction and work your material over the course of the evening.

Jamibeth is interested in working with actors of ALL TYPES - ALL AGES (18+).

An accompanist will be provided.

Jamibeth Margolis

JAMIBETH MARGOLIS is a New York City based casting director, director, intimacy director and educator. 

She previously served as casting director for many of Broadway’s longest running shows such as CATS, LES MISERABLES, MISS SAIGON, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and more.  

Jamibeth cast HARMONY on Broadway this season and is currently casting and directing a new musical Off-Broadway called WINESDAY opening in May at the Theatre Center in midtown and casting for Maine State Music Theatre as well as many readings, workshops, benefits and recordings of new musicals and plays for streaming platforms. 

Recent theatre casting: FIDDLER ON THE ROOF In Yiddish (Off Broadway/Artios Award Winner For Casting), HARMONY (Reading and National Yiddish Theatre), Plaza Theatrical Productions in Elmont, casting director for the National Yiddish Theatre and others. 

She holds a BA in Directing from Ithaca College and an MFA in Directing from University Of Idaho and is currently a professor and associate head of BFA Acting at Pace University.
