In Person: MUSICAL THEATER Masterclass with AMBER SNEAD CSA, Associate Casting Director, ARC

AC is thrilled to welcome Amber in to teach this One Night Only Musical Theater Master Class!

At ARC, she casts a multitude of regional projects, National Tours, and Broadway shows! 

Recent credits include: The Lion King (Broadway/National Tour), My Fair Lady (National Tour), The Sound of Music (International Tour), Anne of Green Gables and Dreamgirls (Goodspeed), Walter Paisley (La Mirada, CA), and The Color Purple (Denver Center for the Performing Arts) upcoming World Premiere of Mad Hatter the Musical.

Amber is interested in working with actors of ALL TYPES - ALL AGES (13+).

EVENT OVERVIEW:

The evening will start off with a Q & A, and then each actor will perform for her using your prepared material in a group format.  

For this Master Class, please prepare two "short" contrasting songs (16 or 32 bars). Please also have your list of songs/book available as Amber might want to hear more.

She will coach, give direction and offer honest, constructive feedback on your audition material if what you are currently using doesn't “work".

An accompanist will be provided.

You will be emailed your assigned studio the morning of your event.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this Master Class, please prepare two "short" contrasting songs (16 or 32 bars). Please also have your list of songs/book available as Amber might want to hear more.

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

Amber Snead

Amber is an Associate Casting Director with ARC. She hails from Southern California where she was born and raised. She began her career as a performer and is passionate about finding new and undiscovered talent, with a strong commitment to diversity and inclusivity. Her goal is to create an audition space where every actor feels that they are supported and confident enough to put forth their best work.

Favorite recent credits include: The Lion King, Dreamgirls (McCarter & Goodspeed), Anne of Green Gables (Goodspeed), My Fair Lady (TOUR), The Color Purple (Denver Center for the Performing Arts) and the upcoming World Premiere of Mad Hatter the Musical.
