Have you always wanted to be in front of the camera? In this beginner class you will learn the basics of on-camera acting with NYC actress and Coach Lorrie Odom. You will focus on specofoc techniques for on-camera acting through exercises in observation, listening, Imagination, and improvisation.
You will learn:
- How to break down and analyze a script
- Eye-lines and where to look during your scene
- How to work with (and work off) a reader
- Audition Technique and how to calm your nerves
- How to Create, Develop, and Portray BELIEVABLE characters
Who this class is for:
- Anyone who wants to learn how to act
- People curious about acting for TV/film
- Background actors who want to book speaking roles
-Anyone transitioning from stage to TV/Film
For all four classes, you'll be shooting scenes with a reader to view after class with extensive feedback.

Lorrie Odom
Lorrie Odom is a Howard University graduate and has been an actress in NYC for the past 20 years. She's a recurring on HULU's original series SHUT EYE, Season 2 opposite star Isabella Rossellini and can currently be seen on NETFLIX in the film KINGS opposite Oscar Winner Halle Berry.
Lorrie's film credits include: ISN'T IT ROMANTIC opposite Rebel Wilson, BUFFALOED opposite Zoey Deutch, and BODY CAM opposite Mary J. Blige.
Previous TV credits Include: FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE opposite Keegan-Michael Key, SCANDAL, QUEEN SUGAR, GOTHAM, MR.ROBOT, PERSON OF INTEREST, THE BLACKLIST, GIRLS, VEEP, LAW & ORDER: SVU, and HOMELAND.
