Zoom: Online SEMINAR with JAY SCHACHTER, Head of Film & Television / Agent, Stewart Talent

Here's your chance to meet and showcase to veteran agent Jay Schachter who heads the film and television department for Stewart Talent NY.

Previously, Jay was an agent in Los Angeles for years with Prestige Talent Agency and then Abrams Artists before moving back to New York and joining Stewart Talent.

His clients can currently be seen on Stranger Things, Succession, West Side Story, Dexter: New Blood, Salem's Lot, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Space Force, City on a Hill, Blue Bloods to name a few.

EVENT OVERVIEW

The afternoon of the event, you’ll be given your appointment times in EST.

The event will start with a 30 minute Q&A with everyone in the room. Then you will be admitted one by one and get 5 minutes in the room with the guest, including your performance. After your time slot you are free to leave for the evening (hit “Leave Meeting” button).

Please show up at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that technical issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are in the waiting room.

We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.

 -Actors will be automatically sent to the ‘waiting room’. The host will admit the actors as they arrive. 

-The host or the panel will give the spiel on how the class will run with any special notes, and begin the lesson plan.

Jay is open to meeting talented actors of all types - all ethnicities (18+) with credits, significant credits for those 30 and above.

After a short 15 minute virtual Q&A he'll see Sides with a Reader ONE on ONE

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.
