This event is in the past.

If you're pursuing Film and TV, it's imperative that you have either a film/TV demo or clips of your work to show agents and casting directors. You also need a demo or clips of your work if you're submitting on websites like Actors Access. If you don't have them, your competition is getting placed above you and you're probably not even being looked at by casting directors.

One of the best ways to get material for your demo are to do student and indie films as well as getting the experience and resume credit. However, sometimes getting your materials back from these projects is almost impossible and often when you do get it back the quality is so bad you can't use it.

So what do you do?

In this 5 week class, you'll have the opportunity to work ON SET and acquire usable footage to help develop and SHOWCASE your on-camera demo reel. Top NY Acting Coach Pete Jensen will work with you on two contrasting short film/TV scenes that will be shot on location with filmmaker and editor Michael Stever.

In the first class, you'll meet with Pete and Michael where you will be cast into two scenes. Scenes and partners will be determined according to each actors needs. In your next two classes you'll work to perfect both scenes with Pete. Your final two classes will be spent shooting on location with Michael. Within 6 weeks after completing this class, you will receive your fully edited material in order to post on your website or add to your current demo reel.

This class is also PERFECT for those actors who have already been compiling material for a film/TV demo, but are missing certain types of roles. Actors may also bring in scene ideas for this class. Actors may also register as pairs to take this class.

Similar programs in LA and NY run $2,000-$3,000 and up!

Limited to 12 actors.

They gave very honest feedback, while at the same time maintaining a safe and supportive work space. This has been a very important step in the building of my materials for the next stage of my career, and I am very grateful to have had the opportunity." -Nico Allen

"I recently took Dani Super and Michael Stever's Demo Reel Class. I just wanted to sing their praises to you. I'm a guy who's been in New York for the better part of 10 years working in (pretty much only) theatre. I decided to try and expand my "artistic horizons" this year and so I signed up for Dani and Michael's Demo Reel class. They are both MAGNIFICENT! Dani did an excellent job of picking and coaching us through scenes that allowed us to shine brightly. I enjoyed working with her so much, that I recently enrolled in her 4 week "On Camera" class. Michael was equally as fantastic to work with. He knew how important the quality of these demo's were to us actors and therefore, he worked extremely hard to make sure they were as professional and polished as possible. I am truly grateful to both of them and grateful to you for offering us the opportunity to work with them. Thanks again!" -Andy Lebon

"Hi Michael. I just got back from California and finally got to see the scenes you filmed and directed for the Actors Connection class I took with you and Dani Super. Please accept my sincere thanks and compliments for the great work you did. You may recall that the "Surprise Visitor" shoot outdoors required many takes due to weather and background noise. Your patience and professionalism made both me and Shuiken Chan feel relaxed and confident under less than ideal conditions; and your editing of all those takes is amazing! Likewise, your guidance and directing/camera skills really made the "Vengeful Error" scene enjoyable to shoot and something I am proud to include on my demo reel. Thanks again, and I hope we get a chance to work together in the future." -William McGrath

"Your class, from start to finished scenes, was a wonderful experience for me. It was amazing to see Michael at work creating all those shoots in cool locations in such a compressed time line and budget. I loved being on set and I was impressed by the other reels you shot. You guys are doing great things with this reel class!" -Jake Lipman

"I just wanted to express how grateful I am for having taken the "Building Your Reel" class. The scenes were perfect roles for me and I added them to my reel right away! I even was able to take it to LA Connection with me, having an agent take a look. Working with Michael as well was such a treat. He was very professional on set and made me look good on camera!! Thank you again!" -Anna Lewgood

"It was a great on the job learning experience! Working with Michael Stever on set was extremely edifying and enlightening! It made me that much more aware of everything around me as the actor and the focus that I need to maintain. I can't wait to see the edited versions of everyone's scene work at the screening. This class is a great tool for actors building their careers!" -Peter Davenport

"I really enjoyed the class. The strengths were the good quality and quick turn around of the video. It was a very valuable experience-a lot of value for the time and money. I've also been getting seen by a lot more casting directors because of my videos and I BOOKED a principal role in HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA directly." -Robert Eckard

"I thought that the energy/environment of the class was positive and encouraging. It was also fun!" -Mandy Embry
