Judy is a fabulous CD that casts for film, television and theater.
Judy has been casting in New York City since 1993. Recent film casting includes: FAR FROM THE TREE, DRAWING HOME, ICE, THE WORD, AMERICAN FALLS, & BENNY THE BUM. She has associate-produced several independent features, and was the NY Casting Associate on SHORTBUS, NOWHERE TO GO BUT UP and worked on SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE and MEAN GIRLS. She worked as the NY Casting Director for Carsey-Werner in the 1990s, working on such TV series as MEN BEHAVING BADLY, GRACE UNDER FIRE, and THAT 70S SHOW. She also cast audiobooks for Simon & Schuster from 1996-2001. Casting on Broadway and off, she often collaborates with the Rattlestick Playwrights Theatre, LAByrinth Theater Company, Partial Comfort, HERE, At Hand, Project Y, and Hero Theater Company. Regional work includes New York Stage & Film, American Repertory Theatre, San Francisco Playhouse, InterAct, Southern Rep, Dorset Theatre Festival, Humana Festival, & NJ Rep. She is Producer on BILLY & RAY, a play about Billy Wilder, which has an upcoming production at LA's Falcon Theatre this Fall. She is an adjunct Asst. Professor at Columbia University Film School's MFA program, and is a former faculty member at Harlem School of the Arts. Current projects include: MAMMAL DRAMA(webseries), DEVIL DEAL BLUES(short film), SHE'S GOT HER TICKET(short film), IS IT RAINING IN POUGHKEEPSIE(staged reading), 2 plays for San Francisco Playhouse's upcoming season, and SKYLARK, an independent feature.
