Here's your chance to meet and showcase to veteran agent Jay Schachter who heads the film and television department for Stewart Talent NY.
He's a three-time Heller Award-winning talent agent with more than two decades of experience representing actors across film and television.
Client TV credits include: Stranger Things, Succession, Law & Order: SVU, Paradise, Ghosts, Industry, The Witcher, The Conners, Dexter: New Blood, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, City on a Hill, Blue Bloods to name a few.
Client film credits include: The Lord of the Rings: Shadow of the Past (upcoming), Spiderman: Homecoming, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning, West Side Story, Salem's Lot, Clifford The Big Red Dog to name a few.
Throughout his career, Jay has focused on both established and emerging talent, combining long-term career development with strategic relationships across casting, production, management and the broader entertainment industry.
He's open to meeting talented actors of all types - all ethnicities (18+) with credits, significant credits for those 30 and above.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 pages in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).
Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Jay Schachter
Jay Schachter is Head of Film & Television at Stewart Talent’s New York office and a three-time Heller Award-winning talent agent with more than two decades of experience representing actors across film and television.
Schachter began his career in Los Angeles as a talent manager, founding Jay Schachter Entertainment. During his years in management, he became a member of the Talent Managers Association and served on its board. He subsequently created and ran Lampoon Talent Group, the talent division of National Lampoon.
Schachter transitioned to agency representation with Mavrick Artists Agency, where he served as Director of the Theatrical Division, before becoming Senior Vice President and Head of the Theatrical Division at Prestige Talent Agency. In 2014, he joined Abrams Artists Agency in Los Angeles and later transferred to the agency’s New York office.
He joined Stewart Talent in New York as a senior agent and was subsequently promoted to Head of Film & Television, overseeing the agency’s New York film and television department.
Throughout his career, Schachter has focused on both established and emerging talent, combining long-term career development with strategic relationships across casting, production, management and the broader entertainment industry.
Schachter has been nominated seven times for a Heller Award and is a three-time winner, recognizing his work in theatrical talent representation.
Based in New York, Schachter continues to lead Stewart Talent’s New York film and television representation efforts while maintaining a hands-on approach to developing and guiding actors throughout their careers.
