In tonight's Q&A, Tineka will share her film and TV casting journey and also answer questions about our industry.
With over 20 years of experience in casting, her projects have premiered at prestigious festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, Santa Barbara, and Palm Springs, to name a few.
Formerly the Manager of Feature Casting at Paramount Pictures, she has also been on the casting teams for X-Men: Apocalypse, Little Fockers, Twilight: New Moon, The Lovely Bones, A Christmas Carol w/ Jim Carrey, Heaven Is For Real, Tom Ford’s directorial debut A Single Man, Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, The Mysterious Benedict Society for Disney+, and so many more.
Some of her projects currently available to stream include the Amazon series Reacher, The Artist’s Wife starring Lena Olin & Bruce Dern, The 11th Green (NYT Critic’s pick), Breaking Fast (GLAAD award nominee), the Netflix docu-series Heist, and the indie western Badland.
In addition to the aforementioned credits, she has also cast projects for Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, ABC, CBS Television, 20th TV, MTV, Voltage Pictures and YouTube Red, as well as the Weitz brothers' Depth of Field, Steve Carell’s Carousel Television, Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company, and many more.
She was nominated for Best Feature Casting Director at the Santa Fe Film Festival for The Big Bend, which also won Best Ensemble Cast at the Savannah Film Festival, and is now available to stream on Apple TV+ and Amazon.
