David is the Vice President of Young Talent in the Theatrical Department at CESD Talent Agency in NYC. As a Theatrical Agent, David books young actors on TV, Film, and Theater projects for the company.
He's open to meeting young actors of All Types-All Ethnicities (up to 18) as well as young adults who play under 18.
EVENT OVERVIEW:
After a virtual Q&A he'll see Sides with a Reader or Songs ONE on ONE
The afternoon of the event, you’ll be given your appointment times in EST.
The event will start with a 30 minute Q&A with everyone in the room. Then you will be admitted one by one and get 5 minutes in the room with the guest, including your performance. After your time slot you are free to leave for the evening (hit “Leave Meeting” button).
Please show up at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that technical issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are in the waiting room.
We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.
-The host will open the ‘room’ at least 30 minutes before the start of class. You’re welcome to arrive during this time to run your scene with the host.
-Actors will be automatically sent to the ‘waiting room’. The host will admit the actors as they arrive.
-The host or the guests will give the spiel on how the class will run with any special notes, and begin the lesson plan.

WHAT TO PREPARE:
For this event, please bring in your own song or scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).
Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

David Doan
David Doan is the Vice President of Young Talent in the Theatrical Department at CESD Talent Agency in NYC.
As a Theatrical Agent, David books young actors on TV, Film, and Theater projects for the company. He has been working in the business for almost 25 years. He was previously the head of the Theatrical Department at Generation TV, a Talent Manager at J. Mitchell Management, and also a Casting Director for Nickelodeon where he helped cast pilots including Victorious and Big Time Rush. He was also nominated for a 2012 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special for Nick Jr.’s Bubble Guppies. His passion for developing and successfully breaking out young performers was recognized in Variety Magazine’s 2015 Youth Impact Report where he was profiled alongside of the industry’s top talent, musicians, agents, and influencers.
In 2019 and 2022 David was honored by the Talent Managers Association with a Heller Award for Northeast Youth Agent of the Year.
