Meredith Jacobson Marciano is one of New York City's most sought after casting directors. She is the sole founder/owner of Amerifilm Casting, Inc. Soon upon graduation from USC Film School, Meredith became the assistant production office coordinator for the Amos Kollek film, Forever, Lulu (1987). Very soon into filming, she was also handed the position of the extras casting director, and with this position she founded Amerifilm Casting.

Some of Amerifilm's earliest projects included Penn & Teller Get Killed (1989), The Lemon Sisters (1989), and Rocky V (1990). In recent years, one of Meredith's most noted projects at Amerifilm, has been as casting director for the hugely popular HBO TV serial Sex and the City (1998).

Meredith is currently casting 3 SAG short films, and scenes from an upcoming non-union feature. Recent gigs include the NY actors for a German film by Academy Award winner Volker Schloendorff, a web video for Google, as well as assisting a Los Angeles filmmaker in casting his short film in Malibu. 2015 jobs included principal casting for foreign films Antonio in Wonderland, The History of Love, and Bankrob. Other recent casting includes historic reenactments for Letters from Baghdad and the pilot for The Men Who Built America. Past films include Italian productions 3 Daughters, Whatever Happened, One Day More, America Never, the French film Under the Starry Sky, and the American horror film Jersey Shore Massacre. Meredith also cast many medical training videos, international ads, short films including Busted Walk (an early film of Ezra Miller's) and independent features Three Below Zero (Wes Bentley's first film) and Violet Tendencies (Mindy Cohn) amongst others. Television credits include the series ESL for CUNY-TV, commercials and web spots for Verizon, Maryland Lottery,H&R Block, Lotrimin, Gas-X, Cablevision, Hughes Net, Radio Shack. Amerifilm also casts union and non-union background talent on numerous shows, including Sex and the City, Happyish, Rubicon and Forever.

She's called in and BOOKED lots of AC actors from past seminars and is always interested meeting actors of all types - all ages (18+) - all ethnicities. She just BOOKED three AC actors on a project from her last seminar.

Meredith Jacobson Marciano is the sole founder/owner of Amerifilm Casting and Media, LLC and has been established in the New York film business after graduating University of Southern California Cinematic Arts. 

Amerifilm casts principal and background talent for both union and non-union shows, and is also involved with documentary production and photography. She has cast the US talent for several European and Asian films such as Volker Schlondorff's Return to Montauk (Amazon Prime), Hyun-seok Kim's I Can Speak, Maria Schrader’s Unorthodox (Netflix) and David Dietl’s Funeral for A Dog (Netflix), as well as many promotional and instructional films for various corporations’ websites and socials. 

Amerifilm also casts background and day players in many NYC television series such as Sex and the City, Forever, Deception, Rubicon, and numerous feature films since landing in New York since 1986.
