Susan G. Reid has been crafting her own acting technique over the past decade, and she uses an approach to that focuses on creating truthful and authentic performances from the actors that she works with and coaches. Her technique is particularly applicable to the world of TV/Film. Given that most actors are given anywhere from 24-48 hours to prepare and tape an audition, Reid’s approach gives quantifiable steps to create a fully fleshed-out and authentic performance.

Students interested in this session must prepare 2 sets of sides 2-3 pages in length.

The former Vice President and Head of the TV/Film Division at Atlanta, Models & Talent, Inc. and Casting Director for Investigation Discovery’s fourth season of Your Worst Nightmare for Fox Casting, Susan G. Reid  is now a Professor of Practice in Acting/Directing for Georgia State University's School of Film, Media & Theatre. She continues to work as a professional acting coach, casting director, writer and director. An active member of the Atlanta theatre community, Reid has earned awards for her excellence in directing, ranked among the top directors in Atlanta. Her other professional and community efforts include positions as the Artistic Associate and Education Director at both Aurora Theatre and Theatre in the Square.
