NEW! DEVELOPING YOUR FILM/TV DEMO REEL-5 Week ON-CAMERA Class with Eve Battaglia, CD and Michael Stever, Filmmaker
Thursday, March 8, 2012, 7pm ET / 4pm PT
This event is in the past.

If you're pursuing Film and TV, it's imperative that you have either a film/TV demo or clips of your work to show agents and casting directors. You also need a demo or clips of your work if you're submitting on websites like Actors Access. If you don't have them, your competition is getting placed above you and you're probably not even being looked at by casting directors. One of the best ways to get material for your demo are to do student and indie films as well as getting the experience and resume credit. However, sometimes getting your materials back from these projects is almost impossible and often when you do get it back the quality is so bad you can't use it. So what do you do? In our new 5 week class, you'll have the opportunity to work ON SET and acquire usable footage to help develop and SHOWCASE your on-camera demo reel. Film casting director Eve Battaglia will work with you on two contrasting short film/tv scenes that will be shot on location with filmmaker and editor Michael Stever. In the first class, you'll meet with Eve and Michael where you will be cast into two scenes. Scenes and partners will be determined according to each actors needs. In your next two classes you'll work to perfect both scenes ON CAMERA with Eve. Your final two classes will be spent shooting on location with Michael. Within one month after completing this class, Michael will send you your fully edited material in order to post on your website or add to your current demo reel. This class is also PERFECT for those actors who have already been compiling material for a film/TV demo, but are missing certain types of roles. Actors may also bring in scene ideas for this class. Actors may also register as pairs to take this class. Similar programs in LA and NY run $2,000-$3,000 and up! Limited to 10 actors. Please click this link to view scenes from our classes! Testimonials: "DO IT, people! Fun class! Good times! 🙂 Thanks for an awesome class with fabulous results!" -Jennifer Shark "Your class, from start to finished scenes, was a wonderful experience for me. It was amazing to see Michael at work creating all those shoots in cool locations in such a compressed time line and budget. I loved being on set and I was impressed by the other reels you shot. And I just absolutely love Eve, too. You guys are doing great things with this reel class!" -Jake Lipman "I just wanted to express how grateful I am for having taken the "Building Your Reel" class. The scenes were perfect roles for me and I added them to my reel right away! I even was able to take it to LA Connection with me, having an agent take a look. Working with Michael as well was such a treat. He was very professional on set and made me look good on camera!! Thank you again!" -Anna Lewgood "It was a great on the job learning experience! Working with Michael Stever on set was extremely edifying and enlightening! It made me that much more aware of everything around me as the actor and the focus that I need to maintain. I can't wait to see the edited versions of everyone's scene work at the screening. This class is a great tool for actors building their careers!" -Peter Davenport "Both Eve and Michael were wonderful. They took their time in working with us and making sure we turned out the best possible work. I'm very pleased and loved the experience. Worth every penny!" -Jeff Wierichs "I love Eve and Michael! It was great to work through and refine the scenes before shooting. Eve and Michael gave excellent and specific direction. Eve, given her experience, knows exactly where to guide you as an actor." -Carla Briscoe "I really enjoyed the class. The strengths were the good quality and quick turn around of the video. It was a very valuable experience-a lot of value for the time and money. I've also been getting seen by a lot more casting directors because of my videos and I BOOKED a principal role in HOW TO MAKE IT IN AMERICA directly." -Robert Eckard "Eve was wonderful with choosing material! I had a lot of fun and got good results. Thank you!" -Jaclyn Walsh "I appreciated the fact that we had a lot of input regarding scene selection. Eve and Michael were wonderful to work with.
