Our NEW TV Hosting Connection Weekend Intensive is the best way to gain on-camera hosting & communication skills that merge solid traditional on-air training with today's cutting edge hosting skills. You'll have TWO full days to polish your hosting, teleprompter, in-studio and "man on the street" interview skills and learn how to improve your audition skills to book TV hosting jobs. You'll also have the opportunity to SHOWCASE to some of NY's top Hosting Agents and Casting Directors. Taught by the best-of–the-best from the East Coast TV Hosting Industry, Patricia Stark and Risa Tanania will mentor you with their extensive knowledge and unique coaching styles. They will focus on the essentials of hosting such as how to nail the audition, branding yourself, improving your read, how to create and polish your demo reel, mastering the teleprompter/ear prompter and how to get the representation that best suits you! There will also be live field exercises, improv interviews, copy exercises and audition simulations. This exclusive on-camera workshop offers a unique experience for hosts to network with other hosts, perfect their craft in a positive, supportive environment and be seen and coached by an actual casting director~Risa Tanania and media image coach and established host, Patricia Stark. The weekend will finish with a final showcase to FOUR Top NY Hosting Agents and Casting Directors. The format will be a Q & A where you'll have YOUR chance to ask specific questions all about the TV hosting/broadcast industry. After the Q & A, we will split up our panel who you will showcase your work to ON CAMERA. Be prepared to do one piece of host copy for each panel for feedback and written evaluations. She has cast (hosts, actors and striking every day people) and developed shows for major networks such as FOX, Bravo, MTV, Lifetime and STYLE. She believes reality TV is not just a guilty pleasure, but rather a space for great stories to be told. Through her new development company, The House That Casting Built, Risa hopes to achieve her proudest moment; when television (her first love), accurately reflects its true audience...with all cultures, colors and communities equally represented.

Patricia has extensive experience as a health & medical news anchor, radio interview host, and appears regularly as a TV guest expert on the topics of communication and confidence. Her new book “Calmfidence: How to Trust Yourself, Tame Your Inner Critic, and Shine in Any Spotlight” is recently published by Sounds True/MacMillan Publishing.

With over 20 years of first-hand experience in front of the camera and on stage, Patricia is one of the few trainers in the country who has worked extensively in front of the camera in both broadcast and corporate media.  Patricia has appeared in over 2000 Fortune 500 corporate media productions in just about every sector of industry as a moderator, trainer, host and corporate spokesperson, and has anchored national and international news.  She is a member of SAG/AFTRA and has appeared in numerous television commercials and programs and held a recurring role on Law & Order Criminal Intent.
