NEW! ACTING 101: I Want to Be an Actor with Frank Mihelich, Professional Actor, Teacher and Business Coach

If you've been thinking about starting a career as an actor, Acting 101 is the PERFECT way to start off. In 6 weeks, you'll cover with Frank: -The basics of technique and explore exercises that focus on the body, voice, and imagination of the actor as mapped out by Stanislavski in his book AN ACTOR PREPARES. -Focus on the elements of the actor: Relaxation, concentration and a sense of truth. -Explore the elements of the craft of acting by doing improv and exercises around the tools of: discovering physical actions, committing yourself to action, believing your actions onstage, and making a score of physical action. -Finding an objective and the different intentions to meet that objective. As a complement to finding an objective we will work on maintaining an obstacle and adapting to other characters. -Imagination exercises and putting it to work. -Scene study and presentation Frank will also discuss the realities of the business of acting and how to use the services at Actors Connection to build your personal acting career and to network. Each student will also receive 1 free hour of personal Acting coaching/career consultation with Frank as well. After, taking this 6 week class, you'll know if acting is something that you really want to pursue in the future. Class is limited to 14 students FRANK MIHELICH: is a New York City based actor originally from the San Fransisco Bay Area. Frank has worked extensively in theatre, film, and television. In the theatre, Frank has worked for such companies as the Colorado Shakespeare Festival, the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival and the Two Rivers Theatre of New Jersey. Frank is a founding member of Magis Theatre Company, as well as a company member of New Jersey Repertory Company. Frank is also a founding member of Threads Theater Company, a company that is seeking to find the common ground between faith and art. Frank holds a MFA in classical acting from Columbia University.
