New! Zoom: Commercial and Animation VOICEOVER Online Intensive with Micaela Hicks, Director of Voiceover Department, Eris Talent Agency

Having built the commercial, animation, and video game department from the ground up at Solid Talent, Micaela is now the Director of the Voice Over Department at Eris Talent Agency.

In her new Commercial and Animation Voice Over Intensive, she will begin with an introduction, then have everyone perform reads using commercial and animation copy that she will provide in advance.

Micaela will cover the intricacies of commercials and animation, how they differ and how to get your best reads while giving redirects and adjustments.

She will finish with a Q&A.

This intensive is for adults (18+).

• The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

Micaela Hicks

I’m currently the Head of Voiceover at Eris Talent Agency. I’ve been in the VO world for over two decades, and throughout my career, I've established a strong reputation as a voiceover agent among peers, associates, and other professionals.

I began my career in October 2000 as a receptionist at SBV. Within a year, I became a Scheduler, Booth Director and then worked my way up to the Animation Agent’s Assistant. That early experience gave me a solid foundation and opened doors to leadership roles at agencies like Osbrink, where I headed the voiceover department: across Commercial, Animation, and video games, and Solid Talent, where I built the entire VO division from the ground up.

I then moved to Atlas, where I focused on Commercial Voiceover, but my heart has always been in animation and interactive games. That passion led me to Vox, Inc., where I led the animation and gaming department to some incredible milestones.

What drives me most is working closely with actors! Finding Talent with fresh voices, unique takes, and helping them bring characters to life. I've worked hard to develop my career and love working with talent to elevate their careers.

Outside of work, I am also an avid snow skier and outdoor adventurer, along with my three fur babies, Bojangles, Lucy, and Scottie.
