Zoom: FILM / TV Online INTENSIVE with M'SAADA NIA, Casting Director, The Copasetic Company

Monday, July 20, 2026, 7pm ET / 4pm PT

With over 150 credits and more than a decade of experience, M'saada served for three years as a Casting Executive at The Walt Disney Company, where she worked on series including "Grown-ish," "Queenie," "The Watchful Eye" and "Black Twitter."

Prior to Disney, she built an extensive freelance career spanning studio and independent features, blockbuster triple-A title video games, pilots and network series, live-action and animated shows, commercials, and music videos, several of which earned Oscar, Emmy, NAACP, or BAFTA nominations.

She has collaborated on casting teams led by her mentors, renowned Casting Directors Emily Schweber ("Flora & Ulysses" for Disney+, SXSW selection "The Quarry," and video games "Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order" and "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare"), Aisha Coley ("Selma," "Queen Sugar," "A Wrinkle in Time"), and Donna Morong ("See You Then," "How to Deter a Robber").

As the lead Casting Director and founder of Copasetic Casting, M'saada has been a dedicated advocate for actors, discovering exciting new talent and championing inclusive casting.  She has also cast ADR/loop groups for features and series for platforms including Netflix, Amazon, Hallmark, and Lifetime.

Recent credits include the feature film "The Pool Boy" and ADR/Voice casting for "Lear Rex" (starring Al Pacino, Lakeith Stanfield, Jessica Chastain, Rachel Brosnahan) and "The Last Rodeo."

Intensive Overview:

You'll work with M'saada online in a group as she coaches you on determining your type + cold reading / "making a scene."

She will lead some guided exercises in figuring out types and then spontaneous scene generation during the class that will be performed cold. 

She'll provide you with constructive feedback along with on-camera / self tape audition tips that are imperative to booking roles on a professional level and guidance on creating your own content for several genres and mediums.

For this intensive, based on your headshot and resume (fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account) and in-class exercises, cold read scenes will be selected during the class.

What to Prepare:

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.
