New! THE GIVENS: The Craft in Auditioning for TV and Film - 2 Week Online Class with Caitlin Jones CSA, Casting Director, Fern Champion Casting

From when you receive the sides up until you send off your self-tape (or one day go back to your IRL Auditions!!) there are TONS of little clues Caitlin affectionately calls "THE GIVENS" in any scene -- that most actors either miss or completely ignore.

In this new two week online class, Caitlin will help you deconstruct sides to find these hidden gems, show you how to put them to use in your characterization, and bring your audition skills to the next level! 

Caitlin has been most recently working with Fern Champion on several films and limited series including: WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION fka DEBRIEFING THE PRESIDENT, THE LAST SUPPER, THE INTERNSHIP, THE HIGHEST STAKES, and currently ZERO FREQUENCY. 

She also worked on hundreds of commercial castings since getting her start in 2008. Winning the 2020 CSA Artios Award for Best Casting of a Pilot/First Season Drama was a career highlight.

Also, her first studio film, SMILE, has broken box office records and garnered rave reviews!

Caitlin comes from a comedy background having completed all four levels of Improvisation at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre NY in 2009. In the spirit of "yes, and," her work reflects her commitment to champion equity, inclusion, and casting that accurately reflects the modern world in which we live.

Working as Associate Casting Director for FX's POSE by Ryan Murphy, Caitlin helped feature the most inclusive and authentic LGBTQ+ cast on television.

What to Prepare:

For this virtual class, Caitlin will select sides for you to prepare based on your headshot and fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account. 

Assignments will be emailed 1-3 day in advance. 

Payment:

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.
