Developing your very own unique characters is essential for every V/O actor out there! Every voice over script you will ever read is playing someone. You are never just a voice in a void.
Characters range from natural real people -- to the extreme over the top! Audio book actors, commercial actors, animation actors and even narrative voice actors all need to develop characters. Your rep company of characters need to be ready to go at a moments notice, under pressure at auditions.
Now learn the inside secrets and tips from a working VO professional! There truly is no other class like this in NYC..taught by veteran voice actor from Nickelodeon, PBS, Noggin, Pokemon, Disney and former Muppet performer Paul Liberti.
Plus in your 4th week, you'll have the opportunity to learn from and showcase to a top Animation Voice Over Agent: Allie Silber, DDO Artists Agency
Class Overview:
You'll learn about voice placement, the facial mask and how you can create different sounds and vibrations that allow you to revisit the same characters again and again. Gain insider tips and tricks, marketing for the character voice actor, and unique in-class and extended at home character exercises for the actor to sustain characters and get work!
This class is for adults and teens (14+).
This event will run longer than most of our events - approx. 6:30pm - 10pm EST.

Paul Liberti
Paul Liberti is a voice director and accent coach based in Los Angeles and, has taught Actors in NYC, Los Angeles, and nationally for Stage, On-Camera, and Voice Actors in authentic accent and character creation.
As a voice actor, Paul has booked hundreds of V/O spots and animated series, including Pokémon, Blue's Clues, Noggin's, Pinky Dinky Doo, Saturday Night Live Cartoons, and Sesame Street.
A former Muppet performer, he's also performed on Broadway as well as film and TV with credits including Showtime, Nickelodeon, PBS's Wonderpets, and Chuggington.
His audiobook credits: Scholastic, Nickelodeon, Tavoli Entertainment, Crabhill Press's audio Apps, and the Audie Award-winning Goose Bumps, and directs and casts audiobook narrators for The Razor Online Magazine through Gotham Writers Workshop.

Allie Silber
Allie graduated from Boston University with a major in Film and Television and a minor in Public Relations. She started her career out in the Children’s and Young Adults Division at Abrams Artists Agency as an Executive Assistant to the Head of the Children's Division in July 2017. She was quickly promoted to Agent-in-Training, and then shortly after, to Agent within her short time at Abrams. She represented kids for On-Camera Commercials, Endorsements, Voiceover and Print.
Since September 2019, she has been with the Voiceover Division at DDO Artists Agency, where she now represents both kids and adults for all things Voiceover - including Animation, Commercials, Radio, Podcasts, and Audiobooks to name a few categories. Allie works with high-profile casting directors from all over the country, including Nickelodeon, DreamWorks, Disney, 20th Century Animation and much more.
