Zoom: FEATURE FILM/TV Online Intensive with Leah Shapiro, Casting Associate

A NY-based freelance casting associate for TV and film, Leah has been lucky enough to work for Shayna Markowitz Casting, Ellen Lewis Casting, Laura Rosenthal Casting, Estrin/Bergstein Casting, and Betsy Fippinger Casting. 

She most recently finished working under Ellen Lewis & Shayna Markowitz on THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA 2.

Intensive Overview:

The event will start off with an informative virtual Q&A, followed by your presentation of your scene (2 mins or less) with a reader in a group format. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.

The host will open the ‘room’ at least 30 minutes before the start of class. You’re welcome to arrive during this time to run your scene with the host.

This intensive is for adults and teens (13+).

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no longer than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Payments:

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

If you have an emergency for a class you are participating in outside of these hours, please email help@actorsconnection.com and your host will be able to respond.
