Zoom: Online FILM/TV Audition Technique & Business Intensive with TINEKA BECKER, Casting Director

Here's your chance to work with this high profile casting director who has worked on feature films of all budgets (from small indies to large studio tentpole franchises), as well as network and streaming TV series.

Formerly the Manager of Feature Casting at Paramount Pictures, her independent projects have premiered at Sundance, LAFF, Marché du Film @ Cannes, The Hamptons FF, Palm Springs FF, Mill Valley FF, Cinequest, Outfest, Frameline and many others. 

She currently has multiple projects that are available to stream, including S1 of the Amazon series Reacher, The Artist’s Wife starring Lena Olin & Bruce Dern, Breaking Fast (nominated for a 2022 GLAAD award), and the Netflix docu-series Heist.

Earlier career credits include: X-Men Apocalypse, Little Fockers, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and many others.

Intensive Overview:

This intensive is designed to work specifically on TV/Film audition technique, as well as a greater understanding of the industry as a whole.

There will be a strong focus on the business of acting, breaking down the casting process, and providing actors with food for thought on how they can be more proactive in their careers.

Tineka also works generously with each actor on their assigned scene, providing adjustments and overall feedback.

This class is open to adults only, 18 and older.

For this intensive, Tineka will select sides for you to prepare based on your headshot and fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account. 

Assignments will be emailed 1-3 day in advance.

Tineka Becker

Tineka Becker is an independent Casting Director with over 20 years of experience in casting, whose projects have premiered at prestige festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, Santa Barbara, and Palm Springs, to name just a few.

Formerly the Manager of Features Casting at Paramount Pictures, she has been on the casting teams for X-Men: Apocalypse, Little Fockers, Twilight: New Moon, The Lovely Bones, A Christmas Carol w/ Jim Carrey, Heaven Is For Real, Tom Ford’s directorial debut A Single Man, and so many more.

She currently has multiple projects that are available to stream, including S1 of the Amazon series Reacher, The Artist’s Wife starring Lena Olin & Bruce Dern, Breaking Fast (nominated for a 2022 GLAAD award), and the Netflix docu-series Heist.

She has cast projects for Warner Bros., 20th Century Fox, ABC, Disney+, Hulu, CBS Television, 20th TV, MTV, Voltage Pictures and YouTube Red, as well as the Weitz brothers' Depth of Field, Steve Carell’s Carousel Television, Michael Eisner’s Tornante Company, and many more. She was nominated for Best Feature Casting Director at the 2022 Santa Fe Film Festival for The Big Bend, which also won Best Ensemble Cast at the Savannah Film Festival, and is now available to stream on Apple TV+ and Amazon.

Tineka was born in The Netherlands, reared in the States, and is a graduate of Northwestern University’s theater program.
