Zoom: Online FILM INTENSIVE with Ross Shenker, Associate Casting Director, Kate Geller Casting

Ross Shenker is currently an Associate Casting Director at Kate Geller Casting (Shiva Baby, Nine Days, Don't Think Twice), where his primary focus is on independent film and narrative podcasts.
He has also worked with Taylor Williams and Billy Hopkins on theater and television series. On his own, he has cast short films and an independent pilot.
Selected credits include: Bob Trevino Likes It (Roadside Attractions), Idiotka (Utopia), Oh, Hi! (Sony Pictures Classics), Cora Bora (Brainstorm), The Front Room (A24), Omni Loop (Magnolia), Barron's Cove (Mandalay), Cold Wallet(Well Go USA), Drugstore June (Utopia), The Wild (Vertical), Molli & Max In The Future (Level 33), and The Good Half (Utopia).
Television credits include the upcoming limited series The Artist. He also served as Casting Consultant on Prince F*****(Playwrights Horizons/SoHo Rep) and has cast numerous workshops and 29-hour readings of new plays and musicals. Narrative podcast credits include: Good Morning Monster and Pe$os.
Intensive Overview:
The event will start off with an informative Q&A, followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.
This intensive is for adults and teens (13+).

He has also worked with Billy Hopkins on independent TV series like The Artist (The Network) and has cast for theater both on his own (The Art Tour @ Theatre Row) and as Taylor Williams' Associate (Prince F***** at Playwrights/SoHo Rep). He also just completed casting for an indie pilot called Too Romantic.
He holds a BA in Theater & Jewish Studies from Wesleyan University and an MFA in Performance Studies from the University of Louisville. He worked at IAG (fka APA) for 3 years in their Comedy & Talent Departments. He has previously taught and/or directed at the University of Louisville, UW-Madison, Actors Connection, The Brooklyn Center for Theater Research, SJP Voice Studio, and Adult Film. He is also a Certified Teacher with the National Michael Chekhov Association.
