Showcase to THREE legit agencies that represent for film, TV and theater in LOS ANGELES and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you days after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

This panel includes:

- Gerard Ells, Luxe Talent Agency - (Reps Talent in LA and NY)

- Craig Holzberg, Avalon Artists - Bi-Coastal Agency!

EVENT OVERVIEW:

The afternoon of the event, you’ll be given your appointment times in EST.

The event will start with a 30 minute Q&A with everyone in the room. Then you will be admitted one by one and get 5 minutes in the room with the guests, including your performance. After your time slot you are free to leave for the evening (hit “Leave Meeting” button).

Please show up at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that technical issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are in the waiting room.

We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.

-The host will open the ‘room’ at least 30 minutes before the start of class. You’re welcome to arrive during this time to run your scene with the host.

-Actors will be automatically sent to the ‘waiting room’. The host will admit the actors as they arrive. 

-The host or the guests will give the spiel on how the class will run with any special notes, and begin the lesson plan.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

Gerard Ells

Previously with DPN Talent, Gerard is now an agent at Luxe Talent Agency.

He has been working in the industry for over 7 years running theatrical and youth departments.

He is looking for amazing talent for TV, film, VO, and commercials. He works with actors of all ages that are passionate about the industry with the goal of seeing themselves on the big screen and helps them build their careers.

He has booked clients on Disney, Netflix, Fox and has worked with major brands like Apple, Samsung, T-mobile, Sprint, Walmart, Amazon along with many other networks and brands.

Craig Holzberg

Craig began his career as an agent at TalentWorks in NY. He decided to return to Los Angeles in 2005 where he opened his own full-service talent agency, Avalon Artists Group.

Avalon Artists Group is a bi-coastal agency, also with offices in Atlanta, Chicago and Miami. Craig is truly a bi-coastal agent as he splits his time between NY and LA and is always looking for new clients. He began his career in the entertainment industry as an actor in LA, later moving to NY and working first in the Fashion industry before switching gears again, coming back to the entertainment industry as an agent.

Avalon Artists Group has had great success representing actors met through Actors Connection in NY and LA, and we are thrilled at the numerous possibilities this presents for our actors on BOTH coasts and in other markets across the country. Avalon Artists Group currently has clients on Broadway, National Tours, in feature films, on network and cable television series and national commercials.

Jabari Barrett

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Jabari graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science & Mass Communications. Growing up as a dancer trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop & modern dance, Jabari always knew he wanted to have a career in the entertainment industry. After graduating college, Jabari moved to Los Angeles and interned at various talent agencies before landing a job in Reality TV at 495 productions (Jersey Shore). It was there that he received an opportunity to get into casting for popular shows such as Tattoo Nightmares. Wanting to take a more serious approach within the industry, Jabari began working at CAA in the Marketing department. Having developed a strong desire for talent representation, he then made the move over to Stone Manners Salners Agency as an assistant for four years before joining KMR as an agent in the theatrical department. In his spare time, Jabari loves watching college football with his friends (Go Noles!) and building a strong social network within the entertainment community.

KMR has a true bi-coastal theatrical department, representing some of the most talented actors in the business in Los Angeles and New York. Our roster includes Oscar and Emmy winners as well as an established group of series regulars on network, cable and web based series.
