Showcase to THREE legit agencies in NYC and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

The afternoon of the event, you’ll be given your appointment times in EST.

The event will start with a 30 minute Q&A with everyone in the room. Then you will be admitted one by one and get 5 minutes in the room with the guests, including your performance. After your time slot you are free to leave for the evening (hit “Leave Meeting” button).

Please show up at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that technical issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are in the waiting room.

We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.

-The host will open the ‘room’ at least 30 minutes before the start of class. You’re welcome to arrive during this time to run your scene with the host.

-Actors will be automatically sent to the ‘waiting room’. The host will admit the actors as they arrive. 

-The host or the guests will give the spiel on how the class will run with any special notes, and begin the lesson plan.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

If you have an emergency for a class you are participating in outside of these hours, please email help@actorsconnection.com and your host will be able to respond.

Victor Joyner

Victor started his film career as an actor but shortly found himself on the other side of the camera. While on set for a supporting role in 2006 in an independent international film titled Congo Boy in the City, the film’s producer and director saw the gift of directing in Victor and promoted him to co-?director. Over the past 15 years, Victor has work on a number of independent films and plays; he has held different positions such as Producer, Director, Writer, Script Supervisor, Casting Director, and Grip. In 2008 Victor decided to use the talent and knowledge he gained working with other filmmakers to start Victorious Films LLC. During the first year of Victorious Films, Victor wrote a variety of films. In 2009 Victorious Films, LLC completed its’ first short film Hooped. In 2010 Victorious Films, LLC collaborated with a local Christian rap artist to produce the concert/play Apocalypse, which was written and directed by Victor Joyner. In 2011 Victor and Victorious Films, LLC worked with Hollywood star Miguel A. Nunez Jr. on trailer for the feature film Gospel Gangster. Victor was also a producer on the faith based film Thieves on the Cross, being shot in Detroit Michigan.

In 2014, Victor expanded his diversity when he was able to acquired Maultsby Talent Agency. Maultsby has been in business for 30+ years and with Maultsby Victor works with major casting directors and productions in NYC, ATL, LA and other film territories. Victor recently worked with J Jesses Smith of films such as the short Grey Hood and the feature film “The In-Law Gang (2021)” (Staring Clifton Powell).

In the fall of 2020 Victor wrote, directed and produced the film “ A Brothers Turmoil” which is currently in the last stages of post production.

Christian Park

Christian Park started with Park Artists Group in 2016. In addition to his work with the agency, he has a professional and academic background in filmmaking and some experience in the field of production and post-production. He is available and excited to take on new clients in all adult categories.
