You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

The event will start with a 30 minute Q&A with everyone in the room. Then you will be admitted one by one and get 5 minutes in the room with the guests, including your performance. After your time slot you are free to leave for the evening (hit “Leave Meeting” button).

Please show up at least 5-10 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that technical issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are in the waiting room.

-The host will open the ‘room’ at least 30 minutes before the start of class. You’re welcome to arrive during this time to run your scene with the host.

-Actors will be automatically sent to the ‘waiting room’. The host will admit the actors as they arrive. 

-The host or the guests will give the spiel on how the class will run with any special notes, and begin the lesson plan.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration).

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES LISTED BELOW:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

Sueanne Edan

For over 15 years, Sueanne has worked in the entertainment industry starting out in theater working both behind and in front of the curtain.

After moving to LA for her children who started acting, Sueanne wanted to learn all she could to help them by learning the TV and Film side of the business hands-on. She started auditioning and acting, also working in casting and production which lead to her launching  a magazine to help actors who were new to the business. After learning about show business, Sueanne was offered a job as a Talent Agent due to her knowledge of the inner workings of the industry. It was working in the many facets of the business that has taught her how to be efficient and very hands-on agent.  

With clients that have worked on network shows as Guest Stars and Series Regulars, feature films and national commercials, Sueanne has the connections needed to help get her clients out on auditions. 

If you ask Sueanne for one bit of advice to get your acting career going her answer is going to be "Keep taking classes and learn as much as you can about the business."

Elmer Blanco

Jaclyn Hergott

Jaclyn Hergott is a Chicago based Talent Agent representing Actors, Models, Artists and Influencers. She began her career as a child actor, and has worked both behind and in-front of the camera in New York, LA and Chicago for the past 20+ years. She has booked her talent on SNL, Nickelodeon, Kohls, Empire, Loreal, & Nike to name a few.

Brittainy Barattia

Brittainy joined the Gray Talent Group as an Associate Agent in July of 2015 and now works as a senior agent in tv, film, voiceover, and commercials. After earning degrees in Theatre Arts and Psychology from the University of Iowa, she began her career in  theatre, working in the fields of fundraising and production and stage management. In tandem with her work in the field of perforBrittainy joined the Gray Talent Group as an Associate Agent in July of 2015. After earning degrees in Theatre Arts and Psychology from the University of Iowa, she began her career in  theatre, working in the fields of fundraising and production and stage management. In tandem with her work in the field of performing arts, Brittainy worked in the aviation industry, during which time she learned that there truly is no place like sweet home Chicago.
