New! Online FILM INTENSIVE with Rebecca Weiss, Casting Associate, McCorkle Casting

We're thrilled to have Rebecca teaching an online session at Actors Connection!

Rebecca Weiss is a casting professional with over 10 years of experience in casting and artistic producing.

With McCorkle Casting, Rebecca casts for theater and film.  Recent projects include the feature films Eternal Buzz and The Mistress, Hallmark original films A Holiday Spectacular and Ghosts of Christmas Always and regional theater productions for Barrington Stage Company, The Guthrie, Playmakers Rep, City Theatre, George Street Playhouse, Milwaukee Rep, The Olney, Crossroads Theatre Company and more.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

Rebecca will have received your headshots ahead of time and "cast" each actor in a film scene, which you will be sent via email 1-2 days in advance.

The night will start off with a Q&A, and then you will read your sides with a reader.

Rebecca will begin working with each actor in a group format. Be prepared for awesome feedback and training that will impact your auditions immediately.

Rebecca is always interested in meeting new talent - all types - all ethnicities -all ages (18+).

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by one hour before the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com.

If you have an emergency for a class you are participating in outside of these hours, please email help@actorsconnection.com and your host will be able to respond.

Rebecca Weiss, CSA is a Casting Director and Dramaturg.

As a Casting Director with McCorkle Casting, Rebecca cast for theater and film.  Recent film projects include the feature films Motherland, There She Goes, The Movers, A Killer Romance, The Lunch Hour, Tripped Up, Renner, The Mistress, Hallmark original films Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story,  A Spectacular Christmas, Ghosts of Christmas Always, and more. She has cast dozens of plays, musicals, and developed new works for theaters across the country including Barrington Stage Company, The Guthrie Theater, Playmakers Rep, Studio Theater, City Theatre, Contemporary American Theater Festival, George Street Playhouse, Milwaukee Rep, The Olney, Crossroads Theatre Company and more. She nourishes her passion for new works at The Playwrights Realm, where she continues to work with early career playwrights. She is a graduate of the University of Rochester's International Theater Program.
