We're excited to have FIVE top Casting pro's who have cast for a wide variety of NETFLIX TV series and features.

EVENT OVERVIEW:

This LIVE event will be BY APPOINTMENT where you will be showcasing to our panel one at time.

You'll work with a reader and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that you will get after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

You’ll be given your appointment times in advance in EST.

Please show up at least 10-15 minutes before your scheduled time, and please be aware that timing issues can occur but your host will keep you updated while you are waiting.

We kindly ask that you do not request to alter your appointment time.

PLEASE NOTE: if you wish to have a recording of your performance, please bring in your own camera phone and we will attach it to our ring light. - This way you can have your performance clip immediately! 
 

WHAT TO PREPARE:

For this event, please bring in your own scene of choice (no more than 2 minutes in length) that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. If you do not have your own scene, you can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration). IN ADDITION: Please bring TWO HARD COPIES of your scene - one highlighted FOR THE READER

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the THURSDAY (1/12) before the event.

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • The room will be open 30 minutes before the event is scheduled to start. Please arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event begins as your host will give important information about the event at this time.

Eve Battaglia

One of NY's top indie film casting directors, EVE BATTAGLIA is best known for casting the Oscar-nominated TRANSAMERICA and was the US Casting Director for the hit Netflix series LILYHAMMER which starred Steve Van Zandt (Sopranos, E Street Band). Currently, Eve is working on TWO indie features. One of her recent indie features SWAN SONG starring Udo Kier, Jennifer Coolidge and Michael Urie and directed by Todd Stephens is 92% certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and up for a variety of awards. Eve is nominated for an Artios Award for SWAN SONG and it's also up for two Indie Indie Spirit awards.
 

She's also known for bringing in tons of AC actors for her many projects! Eve's recent projects include: PROFESSOR MARSTON AND THE WONDER WOMEN which premiered at the Toronto Film fesitval 2017, THE TRANSFIGURATION which premiered at Cannes in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section and is nominated for an Indie Spirit award.

Past projects include: the indie feature MATCH starring Patrick Stewart, Matthew Lillard and Carla Gugino, the feature film LULLABY starring Richard Jenkins, Jennifer Hudson and Amy Adams, BLUE CAPRICE starring Isaiah Washington premiered at Sundance 2013, was opening night for New Directors/New films at MOMA and was nominated for an Indie Spirit award and two Gotham Awards.

Adrienne Stern

With top agency and management relationships, Adrienne Stern is known for working closely with Directors and Producers to secure the types of casts that open doors to major film festivals and distribution packages. Ms. Stern was the Casting Director of The New York Sundance Writers Lab Reading Series from 1996-2005, and has been on both the selection committee and jury for the Gen Art Film Festival. She is a member of BAFTA, IFP, CSA, New York Women in Film and Television and Ensemble Studio Theatre. She also sits on the Board of The Greenwich International Film Festival and The First Time Fest.

Erika Foss-DeMeza

Erika Foss-DeMeza is a casting assistant who has worked at Chrystie Street, for Allison Estrin, Erica Hart and Atomic Honey on Television and Film.

Erika just finished working on the Netflix/Amblin film called CARRY-ON.

Her most recent credits include LOVE LIFE S2 for HBO Max, Josephine Decker’s newest film for A24 and Apple TV called THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE, THREE MONTHS (MTV films),  RAMY (HULU), BOOGIE (Eddie Huang and Focus Features), LOVE 40 (Fred Wolf),  EMILY IN PARIS, SPREE, TOPSIDE, FALSE POSITIVE (Ilana Glazer and A24), OUT OF SERVICE and DREAMLAND.

Erika is a proud graduate of The University of Michigan musical theatre program.

Briana Dunlay

Briana is an Associate Casting Director/Freelance Casting Director in New York.

Leah Shapiro

Leah Shapiro is a NY-based freelance Casting Associate for TV and Film.  She’s been lucky enough to work for Shayna Markowitz Casting, Ellen Lewis Casting, Laura Rosenthal Casting, Estrin/Bergstein Casting, and Betsy Fippinger Casting. 

She most recently finished working under Ellen Lewis on Scarlett Johansson's directorial debut feature film ELEANOR THE GREAT. 

Other recent FILM/TV Associate/Assistant credits include: MAESTRO (NETFLIX/AMBLIN), THE GIRL FROM PLAINVILLE (HULU), INVENTING ANNA (NETFLIX), DASH & LILY (NETFLIX),  A JOURNAL FOR JORDAN (SONY),  GOODNIGHT MOMMY (AMAZON), LANDSCAPE WITH INVISIBLE HAND (PLAN B/MGM)
