Looking for representation during a pandemic is no easy feat and you need feedback to make sure you are understanding how different people in the industry think about your skillset and marketability - that's why we are launching ONLINE AGENT SHOWCASES.

Showcase to THREE legit agencies in NYC and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you days after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

This panel includes:

- Victor Joyner, Maultsby Talent Agency

- Katie Sasso, Firestarter Entertainment NY (FSE Talent) - FIRST TIME GUEST!

After a Q&A they'll see sides with a reader one on one, BY APPOINTMENT!

You'll all be in the 'Zoom room' together for the 30 minute Q&A - then you'll be admitted at your slated APPOINTMENT TIME.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time -- If you arrive late and miss your appointment time, you will be seen once all other appointments have been completed.

Appointments will be sent the day of the event.

What to Prepare:

For this showcase, please prepare a scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

**Actors Connection classes and programming are for ADULTS (18+). With permission, some teens (14+) are allowed to take adult programming. To inquire about getting permission, please send an email to: info@actorsconnection.com**

Susannah Clark

Susannah Clark works in the film and television department as a Jr. Agent. After serving as an assistant to the department for close to two years, she quickly rose to her current position.

Prior to Take 3, she spent time at the Manhattan Theatre Club, in the casting department. Previously, she spent a year working at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC as an Artistic Fellow, assisting the Casting Director, Literary Director, and Associate Artistic Director. She is also the co-founder of a non-profit theater company in DC, where she directed several shows across the city. Susannah graduated from Wesleyan University with degrees in Psychology and English. She is a huge theater nerd, loves hockey and travel, and sings in a punk band in Brooklyn.

Victor Joyner

Victor started his film career as an actor but shortly found himself on the other side of the camera. While on set for a supporting role in 2006 in an independent international film titled Congo Boy in the City, the film’s producer and director saw the gift of directing in Victor and promoted him to co-?director. Over the past 15 years, Victor has work on a number of independent films and plays; he has held different positions such as Producer, Director, Writer, Script Supervisor, Casting Director, and Grip. In 2008 Victor decided to use the talent and knowledge he gained working with other filmmakers to start Victorious Films LLC. During the first year of Victorious Films, Victor wrote a variety of films. In 2009 Victorious Films, LLC completed its’ first short film Hooped. In 2010 Victorious Films, LLC collaborated with a local Christian rap artist to produce the concert/play Apocalypse, which was written and directed by Victor Joyner. In 2011 Victor and Victorious Films, LLC worked with Hollywood star Miguel A. Nunez Jr. on trailer for the feature film Gospel Gangster. Victor was also a producer on the faith based film Thieves on the Cross, being shot in Detroit Michigan.

In 2014, Victor expanded his diversity when he was able to acquired Maultsby Talent Agency. Maultsby has been in business for 30+ years and with Maultsby Victor works with major casting directors and productions in NYC, ATL, LA and other film territories. Victor recently worked with J Jesses Smith of films such as the short Grey Hood and the feature film “The In-Law Gang (2021)” (Staring Clifton Powell).

In the fall of 2020 Victor wrote, directed and produced the film “ A Brothers Turmoil” which is currently in the last stages of post production.

Katie Sasso

Firestarter Entertainment Talent Agency was founded by Nicole Pryor Dernersesian in 2008, first as a production company, where Nicole wrote, directed, cast, produced and booked shows under the company. In 2013, Nicole decided to transition Firestarter Entertainment into the successful talent agency we know today.

Firestarter Entertainment is a fully registered and bonded talent agency. They are also SAG-AFTRA and Equity franchised and represent talent for television, film, commercials, print, and theatre.
