New! ONLINE TV/FILM INTENSIVE with Josh Ropiequet, CSA, Casting Director/Associate, Lowry Johnson/Goldstein Casting

Here's your chance to work with this casting director whose recent projects include YELLOWJACKETS (Showtime), Joanna Gleason's upcoming directorial/writing debut feature THE GROTTO, and the forthcoming series NIGHT SKY (Amazon). Other projects have included TRUTH BE TOLD (Apple), Lena Waithe's TWENTIES (BET), MESSIAH and THE KILLING (Netflix), and RECTIFY (SundanceTV).

The event will start off with an informative virtual Q&A, followed by your presentation of the scene with a reader in a group. Be prepared to take feedback and adjustments.

This class is for actors (18+).

Josh will discuss, among other things:

- THE IMPORTANCE OF A GREAT SELF-TAPE AND HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR AUDITION WHEN YOU ARE NOT IN THE ROOM WITH THE CD

- SPECIFIC AUDITIONING SKILLS TO WIN THE ROOM WHEN YOU ARE IN THE ROOM

- PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT IN A CASTING OFFICE

- THE DIFFERENT ACTING STYLES NEEDED IN EVERY SITUATION

- DOING YOUR RESEARCH ON THE CDS SO YOU CAN TAILOR YOUR AUDITION TO THEIR "EYE"

What to Prepare:

For this virtual intensive, Josh will select sides for you to prepare based on your headshot and fully completed MY INFO section in your AC account. 

Assignments will be emailed 1-3 day in advance. 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Josh Ropiequet

Josh Ropiequet is an up and coming Casting Director. He is currently an Associate & sometimes Director with Junie Lowry Johnson & Libby Goldstein, having worked with them for the past 7+ years.

In his 11 years in Casting, he has also worked with Orly Sitowitz, Julie Ashton, & La Padura/Hart. Most recently he cast YELLOWJACKETS (Showtime), Joanna Gleason's upcoming directorial/writing debut feature THE GROTTO, and the forthcoming series NIGHT SKY (Amazon). Originally from Highland Park, Illinois, Josh graduated from Northwestern University with a BA from the School of Communication. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
