New! GET REHIRED AGAIN AND AGAIN: A Casting Director and Script Supervisor Show You How - 2 Week Online Class led by Brette Goldstein, Casting Director / Producer, Brette Goldstein Casting and Susan Malerstein-Watkins, Feature Film Script Supervisor

Monday, January 24, 2022, 2pm ET / 11am PT

This event is in the past.

Do you know the tricks of the trade for “saving the day” (and looking like a total rockstar) on set?

Do you know what to look out for when it comes to best practices regarding safety, and how to advocate for yourself in a way that doesn’t burn bridges?

How do you know what you don’t know?

There are major insider secrets that can help you get noticed (and possibly “upgraded” to a larger/recurring role or get re-hired by the creative team) while working on set.  Are you SURE you know them all?

If not, here's your chance to work with Script supervisor Susan Malerstein-Watkins (PLATOON, FORREST GUMP, THE GREEN MILE, BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY) and casting director Brette Goldstein (EL CAMINO, HELLO LONESOME, donny!) to find out what you don't know.

This class is for you if...

* You are ready to WORK but don't have a lot of set experience

* You ever had your work cut from the final product

* You want to be sure you stand out (IN A GOOD WAY!) while working on set.

*You want to know how to advocate for your safety and when and how to speak up on set.

Susan and Brette will show you the technical tricks of the trade that not only help you get rehired, but help to ensure that your scenes make it to the final cut. You’ll learn how to book the job and  "book the room", how to deliver your best technical performance, and who it is on set that can help you get there!

In light of the recent incident on the set of RUST, this class will also touch on how to advocate for yourself and others when it comes to safety on set.

This is a class about protecting your performance, staying off the cutting room floor, and building trust and longevity in professional relationships.

In this one-of-a-kind 2 week class, you'll get an inside look - department by department - into what goes on outside of your trailer. How your preparation, craft, technical skill, and work ethic can lead to lasting relationships with casting, creatives, and crew. Susan and Brette bring two very different, vital, and complementary perspectives on storytelling.

As a script supervisor, Susan sat next to Oliver Stone on five of his films, and has worked with other incredible directors, writers, and actors, including three films starring Tom Hanks. She is an incredible resource. Brette and Susan want you to thrive in auditions and on set.

This is a class not to be missed.
