When it comes to streaming media, Netflix is the indisputable king.

With more original content than Amazon Prime VideoHulu, and Disney Plus, Netflix series provide talent with incredible opportunities to grow both as actors and to build their credits.

We're excited to have THREE top Casting pro's who have cast for a wide variety of NETFLIX TV series and features.

This event will start off with a virtual Q&A. You'll then be showcasing to our panel and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

This panel includes:

What to Prepare:

For this showcase, please prepare a scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Eve Battaglia

One of NY's top indie film casting directors, EVE BATTAGLIA is best known for casting the Oscar-nominated TRANSAMERICA and was the US Casting Director for the hit Netflix series LILYHAMMER which starred Steve Van Zandt (Sopranos, E Street Band).

Currently, Eve is working on TWO indie features. One of her recent indie features SWAN SONG starring Udo Kier, Jennifer Coolidge and Michael Urie and directed by Todd Stephens is 92% certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and up for a variety of awards. Eve is nominated for an Artios Award for SWAN SONG and it's also up for two Indie Indie Spirit awards.

She's also known for bringing in tons of AC actors for her many projects! Eve's recent projects include: PROFESSOR MARSTON AND THE WONDER WOMEN which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival 2017, THE TRANSFIGURATION which premiered at Cannes in the prestigious Un Certain Regard section and is nominated for an Indie Spirit award.

Past projects include: the indie feature MATCH starring Patrick Stewart, Matthew Lillard and Carla Gugino, the feature film LULLABY starring Richard Jenkins, Jennifer Hudson and Amy Adams, BLUE CAPRICE starring Isaiah Washington premiered at Sundance 2013, was opening night for New Directors/New films at MOMA and was nominated for an Indie Spirit award and two Gotham Awards.

Erika Foss DeMeza

Erika Foss-DeMeza is a casting assistant who has worked at Chrystie Street, for Allison Estrin, Erica Hart and Atomic Honey on Television and Film.

Erika just finished working on the Netflix/Amblin film called CARRY-ON.

Her most recent credits include LOVE LIFE S2 for HBO Max, Josephine Decker’s newest film for A24 and Apple TV called THE SKY IS EVERYWHERE, THREE MONTHS (MTV films),  RAMY (HULU), BOOGIE (Eddie Huang and Focus Features), LOVE 40 (Fred Wolf),  EMILY IN PARIS, SPREE, TOPSIDE, FALSE POSITIVE (Ilana Glazer and A24), OUT OF SERVICE and DREAMLAND.

Erika is a proud graduate of The University of Michigan musical theatre program.

Caitlin Well

Caitlin Well is an established Casting Director with over twelve years of experience in the entertainment industry.  Caitlin moved to Los Angeles after graduating from Syracuse University’s prestigious S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Film & Television.  

She started her career in freelance casting as an assistant to Ronna Kress before making the transition to Casting Associate on the studio side in the Warner Bros. Feature Casting department under Lora Kennedy and Kristy Carlson.  In her four years at WB, Caitlin worked on DC Blockbuster’s like Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as Oscar winning films like Argo.  

She then moved to Melbourne, Australia, for a year where she continued to work in casting alongside Thea McLeod, known for the long running Australian staple Neighbours.  Upon her return to LA, Caitlin joined John Papsidera’s Automatic Sweat team where she cast a wide range of film and TV projects from Venom and Midway to Lost in Space (Netflix) and Yellowstone (Paramount Network).  

In 2019 Caitlin went out on her own and made the leap to Casting Director, initially partnering with Jennifer Presser.  Together they worked closely with Greg Silverman’s Stampede Ventures on indies with strong female writer/directors like the upcoming Alice and Pink Skies Ahead (SXSW official selection 2020), in addition to casting the Netflix hit American Pie Presents: Girls’ Rules, Stereoscope (Facebook Watch), and the festival award-winning digital series Girl’s Room written by Lena Waithe.  

Caitlin has since started her own company, CWell Casting, and has some exciting Indie films in the can like North of Normal starring Sarah Gadon, and Jane starring Madelaine Petsch.
