New! 3-Week Advanced AUDITIONING FOR FILM/TV Online Class with Mike Page CSA, Casting Director/Partner, Day & Page Casting

We're so excited to have Mike in working online with our AC actors.

Casting since 2004, his extensive credits include hit TV series such as WEEDS, COMMUNITY, ARROW, RAISING HOPE, MY NAME IS EARL, CRIMINAL MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR, THE DEFENDERS, THE EX LIST, ALCATRAZ & FRINGE. He has also worked on several short films and independent productions that have gone on to win numerous awards at various film festivals.

Designed specifically for the ADVANCED actor, in 3 weeks you'll enhance your on-camera audition technique specific to film and television as well as delving into the business side of what TRULY goes on before, during and after a casting session.

Each week will build on the last. Your first week, you'll bring in your own 2-3 page film/TV side so that Mike can get a feel for you as a performer as well as an opportunity to focus on each actor's individual on-camera habits and how this could affect your audition.

Week 2, Mike will assign you a film/TV side to do “cold read” style for feedback and adjustments.

Before your final class, you'll self-tape that same scene and send back to Mike. In class, he'll go over everyone's callback scenes. He will also give you extensive feedback on your self-taping skills and set-up. What's working, what's not and how you can improve your submissions.

Whether you're auditioning for an episodic or feature, this class will teach you the things you need to know that can help you get the callback and then book the job.

What to Prepare:

For your first class, please prepare a film/TV scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Originally from Boulder, CO, Mike has been working in Hollywood since 2004.

Casting credits include working on hit shows such as WEEDS, COMMUNITY, ARROW, RAISING HOPE, MY NAME IS EARL, CRIMINAL MINDS: SUSPECT BEHAVIOR, THE DEFENDERS, THE EX LIST, ALCATRAZ & FRINGE.

He has also worked on several short films and independent productions that have gone on to win numerous awards at various film festivals. From January 2014 thru January 2020, he oversaw casting at TNT & TBS and later for TruTV and HBO Max as Director of Casting, working on pilots & series such as CLAWS, RAISED BY WOLVES, ANIMAL KINGDOM, WRECKED, ANGIE TRIBECA, STATION ELEVEN, SEARCH PARTY, LOVE LIFE, etc. 

In January 2020, Arlie Day and Mike Page joined forces to launch Day & Page Casting.  They have a handful of features on their slate including Nicole Perlman's OUR OWN DEVICES starring FKA Twigs and Gal Gadot, PAULIE GO starring Ethan Dizon, Madison Wolfe, Bernard White and Tracie Thoms,  THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS which is based on the NYT bestselling book, starring Kiersey Clemons and Nick Robinson and MOSQUITOLAND, also an NYT bestseller.
