Looking for representation during a pandemic is no easy feat and you need feedback to make sure you are understanding how different people in the industry think about your skillset and marketability - that's why we are launching ONLINE AGENT SHOWCASES.

Showcase to THREE legit agencies in NYC and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you 1-3 days after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

What to Prepare:

For this showcase, please prepare a scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

**Actors Connection classes and programming are for ADULTS (18+). With permission, some teens (14+) are allowed to take adult programming. To inquire about getting permission, please send an email to: info@actorsconnection.com**

Matt Redmond

Matt Redmond has been with DGRW since 2017, where he started as an Assistant before becoming owner in 2020.
 
Before DGRW, Matt spent time at Manhattan Theatre Club, The MUNY, and Feinstein’s/54 Below working in Directing and Producing. He graduated from Oklahoma City University with a BFA in Acting/Minor in Directing and Arts Administration. He has been a Guest Teaching Artist for Oklahoma City University, The University of Oklahoma, Boston Conservatory, The Hartt School, Elon University, University of Central Oklahoma, The Governor's School for the Arts, BroadwayPlus, and many more institutions. Additionally, he serves on the Board of the National Association of Talent Representatives.

Brian K. Herrick

Brian K Herrick is a New York based Talent Agent and all around Entertainment Professional.

A Southern New Jersey native, Brian spent his youth performing in professional work all around the tri-state area. Even from an early age, he's been fascinated with helping people figure out their place in this crazy industry, and as soon as he got the chance he decided to make a whole career out of it.

As a talent representative, Brian has worked for Jaime Baker Management (Talent Manager, Founder/Head of the Theatrical Roster), The Luedtke Agency (Jr. Agent), and The Price Group (Head Of Talent).

His philosphy is that his clients are his peers, and he loves to be able to collaborate as much as possible to make their passions a reality. In that, he also believes in bringing humor into the work place. Let's laugh...it can't all be so serious right?! In his free time, you can catch him roaming the Upper West Side in search of the perfect happy hour

Aaron Sanko

Aaron Sanko is a Performing Arts Executive and Consultant with a diverse background in artistic and non-artistic ventures. He is currently Managing Director of UIA Talent Agency and UIA Presents.

UIA Talent Agency represents a diverse roster of artists including singers, actors, directors, conductors, choreographers. Prior to his current appointment, Sanko founded Cruxory Group in New York City, which provides management consulting and executive production services to performing arts producing and service entities.

As General Partner and Music Supervisor for Mind the Art Entertainment in New York, Mr. Sanko helmed award-winning productions of Whiskey Pants, The Mayor of Williamsburg (Off Broadway) and Fatty Fatty No Friends (Best of Fest, NYMF 2018). In 2018, Cruxory produced a new musical at St. Lou Fringe, before Mr. Sanko served as Music Director for The Wiz in Monrovia, Liberia (the first musical presented in the country’s history) in the summer of 2018 in collaboration with Broadway Artists Connection and Matsiko World Orphans Choir.

Mr. Sanko served as the CEO of Sanko Ventures, a theatrical production entity, recently represented on Broadway by the Tony-award nominated Deaf West Theatre revival of Spring Awakening, and in Los Angeles with Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along at The Wallis Annenberg Theatre in Beverly Hills. Sanko’s résumé also includes leadership roles at corporations including Best Buy and Starbucks, serving in human resources, operations, and new market development capacities. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sanko was an actor, singer, and educator.

Mr. Sanko takes pride in service to the community, and regularly contributes to the efforts of nonprofit organizations with social, educational, or developmental missions, and recently led a new initiative to create an organizational strategy for leveraging the young professional demographic of donors and leaders as a Founding Executive Committee Member of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ NextGen Advocates.

Mr. Sanko graduated from the Interlochen Arts Academy before studying Voice Performance and Music Education at the Eastman School of Music.  Additionally, he earned a degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, and is a proud alumnus of the intensive programs at The Broadway League’s Commercial Theatre Institute.
