New! 3-Week COMMERCIAL Audition TECHnique Class: Self-Tapes, Virtual Callbacks, Zoomin' Improv & Content for B(r)etter Marketing with Brette Goldstein, Casting Director/Producer

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, 2pm ET / 11am PT

This event is in the past.

Self-tapes. Virtual callbacks. On-set safety.

Brette has been casting commercials virtually since March. Over the course of 3 weeks, she'll help you navigate and shine in the new world of commercial casting - from submissions to self-taped initial auditions to virtual callbacks.

By sharing TECH and TECHNIQUE tricks of the trade, Brette will help you build a stronger trust and rapport with casting directors, thereby making it easier to attract great representation, even at this turbulent time!

You’ll work on selecting and perfecting a unique piece of commercial copy that features your authentic voice, then tape it for your website/casting software profiles. We will also build next-level skills for improv auditions on Zoom, talk marketing strategies for right now, current on-set safety protocols, and, most importantly, how to bring what makes you charismatic and compelling to the forefront in your auditions!

Week 1 - Brette discusses commercial technique, as well as how to self-tape in a world of virtual casting. We see the four pieces of copy that each actor has created for themselves. The class collaborates on which piece(s) of copy feature you best. We polish and perfect the one (or more!) that teaches us (industry) how to cast you!

Week 2 - Brette discusses commercial improv technique in the world of Zoom. Actors perform paired commercial improvs. Brette will also break down and demystify the art self-taped improvs with no dialogue.

Week 3 - In the first part of class we record your commercial copy, which is perfectly written for your true voice - conversational, authentic, and uniquely YOU. We talk targeting marketing strategy for the new world in the second part of class. Union vs non-union, self-taping, how to get representation, etc. We also discuss COVID on-set protocols.

Don't miss this truly one-of-a-kind commercial class!
