New! 2-Week Online FILM/TV Class with Lisa Ystrom, Casting Director, Testa/Ystrom Casting - FIRST TIME GUEST!

Here's your opportunity to work with this busy head casting director who casts for pilots, episodic television and films.

Lisa began casting over a decade ago with legendary projects as "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "NCIS" and "Everybody Loves Raymond." 

In her new 2 week class, you'll work with her ONLINE in a group as she coaches you through your scene in a format that replicates her casting process.

Your first week, you'll bring in a 2-3 page dramatic film/TV scene of your choice to work on with her. In your second week, you'll bring in a CONTRASTING 2-3 page comedic film/TV scene of your choice to work on in class.

She'll provide you with constructive feedback along with on-camera audition insight and tips that she feels are imperative to book roles on a professional level.

This class is for adults and teens (13+).
 

What to Prepare:

For your first class, please prepare a 2-3 page dramatic scene of your choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. For your second class, please prepare a CONTRASTING 2-3 page comedic scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

Please follow the procedures listed below:

• Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

• Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

• Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Lisa Ystrom

Lisa is a Los Angeles native and has been in casting since 1998.

As a Casting Associate, she worked on projects including Pasadena, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Huff, Everybody Loves Raymond and HBO’s The Pacific.

As a Casting Director, she has worked on projects including Suburgatory, The Lying Game, A to Z, Young & Hungry, Powerless, Falling Inn Love, Spinster and Dashing in December among others.
