Spend a night with Voiceover Casting Director, Alexa Magnotto as she discusses the world of commercial voiceover.

After being in the industry on the talent agency side and casting, Alexa shares her experiences to help you better understand the business. The class is split as a discussion/ Q&A first, then you'll work with her one on one reading commercial copy.

You'll learn techniques she uses when casting through her online casting platform, Virtual Booth. 

What to Prepare:

Alexa will select copy for you and will review how to interpret the copy, how to give the best possible take, as well as the positive traits that would help you fit into this exciting market!

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

Alexa Magnotto

Alexa is the new Casting Director at Harbor Picture Company building their casting department. She was previously at Sound Lounge for over 4 years.

Before joining The Lounge, she worked in the commercial voice over department at Innovative Artists and as a freelance casting assistant for Broadway and Off-Broadway theater. Alexa has helped cast countless of TV and Radio commercials and loves working with actors to help them grasp the complex world of copy through tone and delivery.

She is passionate about finding the various ways artists can embody one specific read. Alexa will break down what it means to "read with energy" with tips and tricks she has found for creating smooth and solid auditions, whether they're from home or in the booth.
