Looking for representation during a pandemic is no easy feat and you need feedback to make sure you are understanding how different people in the industry think about your skillset and marketability - that's why we are launching ONLINE AGENT SHOWCASES.

Showcase to THREE legit agencies in NYC and get immediate feedback on your performance so you can continue to make smarter and more powerful choices in this ever-changing career.

You'll also receive written feedback that will be emailed to you 1-3 days after the event to provide even more clarity on your work.

This panel includes:

- Ross Silver, A3 Artists Agency (formerly Abrams Artists)

- Lisa Lax, The Lisa Lax Agency (NYC / MEMPHIS / NASHVILLE)

- Barrett Bischoff, KMR - Kazarian Measures Ruskin & Associates
 

What to Prepare:

For this showcase, please prepare a monologue OR a scene of choice that you feel best showcases your strengths as an actor. You can select a scene from the General Sides database (link located in your Actors Connection account upon registration), OR bring in your own 2-3 page scene. 

Please email jess@actorsconnection.com your scene choice AS AN ATTACHMENT (file should be labeled YourName_CHARACTER) by 5pm (EST) the DAY BEFORE the event.

 

Please follow the procedures listed below:

  • Please update your headshot and fill out the MY INFO section of your AC account upon registration.

  • Arrive at least 10 MINUTES before your event is slated to start. Your host will give important information about the event at this time.

  • Instructions and the ZOOM link for access to this online event will be emailed to you in advance. If you have not received the link by 12pm (EST) the day-of the event, please reach out to registration@actorsconnection.com at least one hour PRIOR to the start of class.

**Actors Connection classes and programming are for ADULTS (18+). With permission, some teens (14+) are allowed to take adult programming. To inquire about getting permission, please send an email to: info@actorsconnection.com**

Barrett Bischoff

After getting his start at CESD and working for Innovative Artists, Barrett joined KMR's Film/TV department. He has already booked clients as series regulars on ABC’s The Kids are Alright and the forthcoming Grand Hotel. His clients have also appeared in recurring roles on The Passage, Proven Innocent, Power, Search Party, Orange is the New Black, as well as guest stars in New Amsterdam, Blue Bloods, Law & Order: SVU, Murphy Brown, and Elementary.

Lisa Lax

Lisa is the Executive Director / Owner of the Lisa Lax Agency, a very successful talent agency of 7 years in NYC and 12 years in Memphis, TN with a new home office in Nashville, TN.  

Lisa is most noted for jump-starting the career of Memphian Lucy Hale (PRETTY LITTLE LIARS) by traveling with her to Los Angeles and putting her in front of studio heads and casting directors. Lisa comes to us with 20 years of experience as a manager, casting director, and agent. Within one year of opening the NY office, she booked client Jade Bartlett in a leading role in the TV pilot CINNAMON GIRL, created and produced by Renee Zellweger. Currently, her client, Stormi Maya can be seen in the feature film Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez and Cardi B.  Her clients have booked shows in NY and the SE such as The Mayans M.C. Blue Bloods, FBI, FBI Most Wanted, Law and Order SVU, The Blacklist, Wu-Tang The American Saga, Stranger Things, NOS4A2, Bluff City Law, MacGyver, Uncorked, The Flight Attendant, and many more.  

Ross Silver

Formerly at A3 Artists Agency, Ross Silver is new to CESD working on television, theatre, and film.
