ROB DECINA ADVANCED Class: THE ART OF AUDITIONING 2.0: 3 Week Television Technique Class with Rob Decina, Casting Director, Rob Decina Casting

Thursday, August 2, 2018, 7pm ET / 4pm PT

This event is in the past.

In response to many requests, here is the FIRST opportunity to continue studying with Rob in this NEW 3 Week ADVANCED Class. A Casting Director for over 20 years, he's auditioned, discovered and hired thousands of actors in that time. He knows what works and what gets an actor noticed in the room.

This class is structured as an Advanced Class on his television technique and open to any student who has previously taken his 2-week or 3-week class.

In Art of Auditioning 2.0 you will refine all the aspects of the technique with a specific emphasis on setting the tone, ending the audition, and finding levels of feeling and energy in the work.

Class 1: You will be given sides several days before the class. You should come to class prepared with all your choices from applying the technique. Each actor will be on their feet working on setting the tone and tagging the scene. Rob will also add to the previously taught steps and show you how to bring levels to the work. He will also work with you on how to expand your best acting moment.

Class 2: All actors will do the full scene after preparing all elements discussed from Class #1. Individual notes will be given. Co-Star audition technique will be reviewed.

Class 3: All actors will do the full scene for a final time to see if notes were applied. All actors will then perform a Co-Star audition applying that technique.

Rob's varied background of casting primetime, daytime, film and theater combined with his work as a Director allows him to bring a unique perspective on what it takes to book the job!

Rob has 20 years of casting experience. Recent credits include the first 3 Seasons of SHADES OF BLUE, the 2018 Pilot Season for the CW Network, plus a new streaming series that will premier this Fall.
