The TV Host / TV Expert Connection Weekend Intensive is the best way to gain on-camera hosting & communication skills that merge solid traditional on-air training with today's cutting edge broadcast and digital hosting skills and connect with the movers & shakers in the Hosting, Broadcasting & Programming world.
This exclusive on-camera workshop offers a unique experience for aspiring hosts and TV experts to network with others, perfect their craft in a positive, supportive environment and be coached by sought after media trainer, certified body language trainer & established broadcaster Patricia Stark who has anchored & hosted over 25 different national & international television shows and appears regularly as a TV guest expert. Joined by TV Host Casting Director-Jamie Carroll on day two of the training event, Jaime has cast hosts & experts for Food Network, HGTV, MTV, Nat Geo, AOL and the Travel Channel
You'll have TWO full days to polish your hosting skills, think on your feet, learn how to work with bullet points, Teleprompter, how to bring out your point of view, and put your personal stamp on your communication & story telling skills. You also learn how to improve your audition skills to book TV hosting jobs and/or establish yourself as a guest on-air expert. You'll come up with your own show or segment concept and we'll help you prepare to bring it to life on Sunday in front of some of NY's top Hosting Agents, Casting Directors and a Producer/ Content Developer who helps create and pitch shows to networks.
Taught by the best-of-the-best from the East Coast TV Hosting Industry, Patricia Stark and Jamie Carroll will mentor you with their extensive knowledge and unique coaching styles. They will focus on the essentials of hosting, connecting with your viewer, tapping into your unique point of view, & finding your dynamic presence in front of the camera.
This exclusive on-camera workshop offers a unique experience for hosts to network with other hosts, perfect their craft in a positive, supportive environment and be seen and coached by an actual casting director-Jamie Carroll and a media coach & established host who has worked on over 25 different television shows & served as a guest expert on national networks-Patricia Stark.
The weekend will culminate with a showcase to a panel of SIX incredible Television Executives including TV Producers, Broadcast Talent Agents, and TV Casting Directors.The format will begin with Q & A where you'll have YOUR chance to ask specific questions all about the TV hosting/broadcast industry. After the Q & A, you will showcase your work ON CAMERA in front of the panel.

JAMIE CARROLL - Jamie Carroll is a host casting director who has worked with numerous leading Production Houses throughout New York, casting experts and host talent for major networks such as: Food Network, HGTV, MTV, Fine Living Network, Nat Geo, Travel Channel, AOL and BBC America. She is currently working on a project for the Vital Voices Gala Awards, premiering this spring at the Kennedy Center.
SCOTT STANFORD - Scott Stanford is a 6 time EMMY Award winning news/sports anchor and commentator. Scott is the 6&10pm sports anchor at WPIX in New York and the Host of Sunday Sports Rewind. He co-hosted the WPIX11 Morning Show with Sukanya Krishnan. Along with Tamsen Fadal, he was co-anchor of WPIX's weeknight 5pm and 10pm newscasts. He was the weekend sports anchor for NBC in NY for four years. Stanford is also a host for This Week in WWE and Afterburn on the WWE Network
BARBARA BARNA ABEL - Barbara Barna Abel is a media trainer, career & life coach and casting director for television, digital and branded entertainment. She is currently the consulting talent executive for Page Six TV and the digital network, Cheddar. Barbara is the author of How To Get Your Foot In The Door: Television Hosting & Presenting - a step by step recipe for success breaking into television hosting.
