ON-CAMERA FILM/TV INTENSIVE with Mia Cusumano CSA, Casting Director, M&M Casting

Always busy, Mia continues to bring in numerous actors met here at Actors Connection for her various projects!

Mia previous credits include casting for a new USA TV series (produced by The Walking Dead's producer Gale Anne Hurd) with Meghan Rafferty. Recent projects include TWO feature films with Ellen Lewis Casting, a huge sports campaign featuring 8 episodes, and she just finished casting the feature film ESCAPE OF THE LIVING DEAD. This past Spring, she worked on several pilots including Mamma Dallas for HBO, FOR JUSTICE for CBS and the pilot SOUTH OF HELL for WE. Last year, she casting with Meghan Rafferty the first season of the hit HBO series THE LEFTOVERS. Past projects include the feature film RUN ALL NIGHT starring Liam Neeson and BLACK MASS starring Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch, the pilot THE TOMORROW PEOPLE for the CW as well as casting for the CBS TV series GOLDEN BOY.

For this on-camera intensive, Mia will have received your headshots and resumes in advance and cast you in a TV scene which you will be emailed 1-2 days prior to the intensive. The session will start off with a Q&A, then Mia will begin working with you and a reader ON CAMERA in a GROUP format. Be prepared for feedback and to take adjustments on the fly.

Mia's past projects include the hit mini-series POLITICAL ANIMALS on USA starring Sigourney Weaver, ScFy's HAVEN and Woody Harrelson's new Off-Broadway play BULLETS FOR ADOLF. This past season, she was the associate casting director on two upcoming pilots: FOX's GUILTY and CBS's GOLDEN BOY with Rosalie Joseph Casting. Her past credits include being the associate casting director on HBO's Untitled Phil Spector movie with casting director Sharon Bialy, the associate casting director on the first season of ABC's hit series "BODY OF PROOF" with casting director Rosalie Joseph and Lifetime's "THE FAME MONSTER: The Rise of Lady Gaga." Mia began her career as the Casting Coordinator for ABC's Primetime Casting Office and her credits range from primetime television pilots and series to studio feature films. She recently returned to ABC Primetime Casting, where she worked on her forth pilot season for the network, along side of Marci Phillips, John Ort and Janet Murphy. Previously Mia worked with Julie Tucker and Ross Meyerson on season 3 of "IN TREATMENT" and on "SHERRI" with Rosalie Joseph. Her feature films include "REAL STEEL" and "THE SMURFS" both with Firefly Casting (Richard Hicks and David Rubin) and recently worked with Amanda Mackey on "NEW YEARS EVE."

Mia Cusumano is a three time Artios nominee having won for her work on The Trial of Chicago 7.

Over the past 20 years of casting, some of her more notable projects include: The Better Sister (currently season 1 on Amazon Prime) Ramy (Hulu) The Trial of Chicago 7 (Netflix) The Leftovers (HBO) She Said, and Paterson.

In addition, previous notable indie work includes but not limited to: 109 Billion Followers (JK Simmons, Nina Arianda), Lez Bomb (Cloris Leachman, Bruce Dern, Kevin Pollack, Deirdre O'Connell), Bruiser (Trevante Rhodes, Shamier Anderson), and The Throwback (Justine Machado, Will Sasso, Michelle Randolph)

Currently Mia is casting an indie, Divine Blood, starring Lena Headey.
