THEATER INTENSIVE WORKSHOP with Erica Jensen, Casting Director, Calleri Casting

A casting director for over 16 years, Erica works with James Calleri and Paul Davis casting for theater, film and TV.

Their current Broadway credits include Hedwig & The Angry Inch and The Elephant Man starring Bradley Cooper. They are also currently casting: A Month In The Country for CSC starring Taylor Schilling and Peter Dinklage, Hamlet for CSC starring Peter Sarsgaard, Elemeno Pea and Oblivion (City Theater), John and Jen (Keen Co.), Shesh Yak and The Undeniable Sound of Right Now (Rattlestick), I Will Be Gone (Humana Festival) and Theives (El Portal Theater in North Hollywood).

They also cast the recent Broadway revival of Of Mice and Men starring James Franco. For over 10 years, they've cast for the Classic Stage Company and are the proud Resident Casting Directors for CSC, Williamstown Theater Festival, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Long Wharf , The Flea, Keen Company, and Playwrights Realm. They also cast for Berkeley Rep, South Coast Rep, Woolly Mammoth, New Georges, stageFARM, Epic Theater Ensemble and many seasons of SPF (Summer Play Festival) and NY Stage & Film.

For this workshop, Erica will have received your headshot, profile and resume ahead of time and "cast" each actor in a theater scene, which you will be emailed in advance as well as a full script of the production and breakdown. You'll start off the night with a Q&A, and then she will begin working with you with a reader in a group format. Erica gives in-depth feedback as well as extensive knowledge of role work.

Erica is interested in seeing committed actors looking for honest and constructive feedback.

Erica Jensen

Erica Jensen is a casting director at and co-owner of Calleri Jensen Davis. Her 20-year plus career with partners James Calleri and Paul Davis spans film, television, regional, off Broadway and Broadway theater.

Casting credits include: Yale Rep, Cleveland Playhouse, Actors Theater of Louisville, Classic Stage Company, Rattlestick Theater, City Theater, McCarter Theatre, People’s Light and Theatre, Hartford Stage, LaJolla Playhouse, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, and The Flea Theater.

Broadway credits include: Purpose (Tony Winner); Topdog/Underdog (Tony Winner); For Colored Girls…, Thoughts of A Colored Man, and The Piano Lesson.

Past Broadway credits: Fool For Love, Hughie, A Raisin In The Sun, Of Mice and Men, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Erica has taught workshops and classes at NYU, Syracuse University, Juilliard, Brown/Trinity Rep, The New School, Pace University, and others.
