NEW ONLINE CLASS! 4-Week Pilot Season Prep with 2 LA Casting Directors: ANI AVETYAN and JORDAN BASS

Tuesday, May 19, 2020, 7:30pm ET / 4:30pm PT

Train from the comfort of your own home and receive quality feedback from two Los Angeles casting directors in this 4-week online class!

Each instructor will provide sides for actors to choose from and record on your own time. Self-tapes are due each week by the class deadline and will be reviewed by the instructor.

Actors will receive personalized audio feedback from each instructor with comments and adjustments on their scene work.

 

 

Weeks 1-2 will be with CD Ani Avetyan. Weeks 3-4 will be with CD Jordan Bass. Ani and Jordan have cast major network television dramas, tv shows and feature films. They both also have years of experience teaching and coaching actors.

CLASS FORMAT:  
Self-Tape Of Class Sides Submitted Online For Audio Feedback From The Instructor

Week 1 -
Tuesday, May 19, 2020

1. Once you register, Ani's instructor sides will be unlocked in your Actors Connection account. 
2. Choose one of the sides that works best with your personality and type, regardless of age or gender.
3. Record the scene as a self-tape, then email a YouTube OR Vimeo link of your video to submissions@actorsconnection.com and note it's for class #1 with Ani. Make sure your video is NOT password protected.

Deadline to email video links is always 7:30pm the following day (which for week 1 is May 20, 2020).

Any videos received after any/all deadlines will not be considered and the actor will be marked "absent" for that week.

 

Week 2 -
Tuesday, May 26, 2020

1. Ani will provide audio feedback via an MP3 that will be emailed to you no later than 7:30pm.
2. Listen to Ani's comments and adjustments then re-record your scene.
3. Email a YouTube OR Vimeo link of your second self-tape to submissions@actorsconnection.com and note it's for class #2 with Ani. Make sure your video is NOT password protected.

Deadline to email video link is 7:30pm the following day (which is May 27, 2020 for week 2). 

 

Week 3 -
Tuesday, June 2, 2020

1. Ani will provide a second round of comments and audio feedback via another MP3 that will be emailed to you no later than 7:30pm. This concludes your class time with Ani.
2. On this date, Jordan's instructor sides will be unlocked in your Actors Connection account. Choose one of Jordan's sides that works best with your personality and type, regardless of age or gender.
3. Email a YouTube OR Vimeo link of your next self-tape performing one of Jordan's sides to submissions@actorsconnection.com and note it's for class #3 with Jordan. Make sure your video is NOT password protected.

Deadline to email video link is 7:30pm the following day (which is June 3, 2020 for week 3). 

 

Week 4 -
Tuesday, June 9, 2020

1. Jordan will provide audio feedback via an MP3 that will be emailed to you no later than 7:30pm.
2. Listen to Jordan's comments and adjustments then re-record your scene.
3. Email a YouTube OR Vimeo link of your final self-tape to submissions@actorsconnection.com and note it's for class #4 with Jordan. Make sure your video is NOT password protected.

Deadline to email video link is 7:30pm the following day (which is June 10, 2020 for week 4). 

Jordan will provide a second round of comments and audio feedback via another MP3 that will be emailed to you by June 17, 2020. This will also mark the end of this online class.

• Scene Selection
• Preparation & Following Directions
• Physicality
• Listening Skills
• Technical Feedback (Set-up, Frame, Reader, Sound, etc.)

Ani Avetyan

Casting Director and Producer Ani Avetyan is known for casting over 14 years TNT's hit TV series "The Closer," its spin-off "Major Crimes" and has since worked on many additional television shows and feature films.

Ani’s other casting credits include Hellcasts, Primo, Leaving Barstow, Homecoming, Stalkers, Emily Owens MD, Holiday Spin, School and Board, Trust Me, Twenty Good Years and Bad Teacher. Recently Ani had her directing debut with the Los Angeles production of “The Understudy” at the Hudson Guild Theatre.
