Policies

Please remember that, although we have many wonderful and exciting success stories each month, meeting an industry guest is never a guarantee of employment.

REGISTERING FOR SEMINARS AND CLASSES

Once you have placed your registration order, the responsibility to know which seminars, classes and intensives you are registered for is yours. You may set a reminder to have an email forwarded 24 hours in advance of your AC event in the My Account section of this site. However, the lack of receipt of such an email does not release you from the accountability of attending.

All registrations are able to be viewed in the My Account section of this site. This is your only confirmation. You may also print the page as your receipt for taxes or to keep a listing of what guests you have met.

You may register for more that one seminar per night. However, you may not register for seminars with conflicting times or formats. A group format requires you to attend from the start to the finish without leaving early.

If you are a “no show,” for your seminar, no credit will be given, even if you are replaced.

Our most popular format is the Q&A followed by work done one on one. You are expected to attend the Q&A’s. The guests are sensitive to both latecomers and early leavers, and this is often resented by them and duly noted. The average total time for seminars is about 2½ hours. The order of the work is determined by the order in which you registered. Plan your schedule accordingly.

Mandatory Q&A sessions are distinguished as such in the description of the seminar. This means the guest has specifically said that you will not be seen in the one-on-one segment if you are not at, or are late for, the Q&A. Calling to say you are running late for these seminars is not applicable and no credit will be given. For cold-paired scene formats, if you have not arrived by the time the scenes are passed out, you will not be admitted to the seminar and no credit will be given.

Since our guests are preeminent industry professionals, there are occasional postponements, substitutions and cancellations. We do our best to reschedule or replace a guest with an equal-level guest from the same office. We apologize for any inconvenience and request your patience and understanding when this occurs.

PAYMENT POLICIES

Payments for seminars and classes are due at the time of registration.

We only take American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover online.

WE ARE UNABLE TO GIVE REFUNDS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

CANCELLATION POLICIES

If you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled time of your seminar, you will receive credit for monies paid.

The policy for an online class or special event is 7 days prior to the start date in order to receive credit for monies paid. Credit can be used for any and all programs at Actors Connection.

If you cancel in time, credit is automatically returned to your Actors Connection account. If you are canceling late, no credit is given unless we find a replacement for you. We have, on occasion, been able to replace actors who cancel late with others from wait lists or who might be standing by. If you are replaced, as a courtesy, we will not charge you for the late cancellation. Please consider any late cancellation a charge on your account, and any resulting replacement a courtesy. You may want to readjust your schedule to attend since, although we do our best to have full seminars, we can never promise a replacement.

If you are a “no show” for a seminar, you will not receive credit under any circumstances.

PROFESSIONAL COURTESY

Please be on time.

It makes a difference to both the guest and your fellow actors.

For seminars with appointment times, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your time, since we sometimes run ahead of schedule.
Give yourself enough advance time to use the restrooms and prepare your work.

Please observe the “Golden Rule” and be courteous while other actors are working.

Be prepared with your material and dress appropriately.

CLASS/SPECIAL EVENTS DIGITAL VIDEOS

For most of our online on-camera classes and special events at Actors Connection, we record your on-camera work with the designated casting director/industry guest and then, as a courtesy, post it online for you to view and download. These videos are for educational purposes only and are NOT to be posted on YouTube, Facebook, or any other public viewing site. Due to the occasional technical error, we cannot guarantee the availability of all video clips. Therefore, we offer the ability to view and download online strictly as a courtesy.
