Carl Menninger and Lori Hammel are the authors of Minding the Edge: Strategies for a Fulfilling Successful Career as an Actor (Waveland Press, 2012).

Carl is a writer and director and Assistant Professor of Theatre and Musical Theatre at American University in Washington, DC. He is also the Artistic Associate at The Windy City Playhouse in Chicago.

Lori Hammel is an award-winning actress who has performed on and off Broadway, in national tours, feature films, TV and national commercials. She lives and works in New York City.
