How to Audition for Primetime TV - 2 Week On-Camera Class with Janet Murphy Butler, Casting Director

Direct from ABC Primetime, here's your opportunity to work ON-CAMERA with one of New York's TOP Primetime TV and Pilot Casting Directors. With years of experience at ABC-TV, Janet will work with each actor in a pre-read/simulated audition scenario, giving adjustments, feedback, suggestions and constructive criticism which will impact your approach toward audition material immediately. The 1st week you'll be working on a prepared sitcom/comedy scene chosen for you based on your picture and resume by Janet. The 2nd week, you'll work on a prepared scene from an episodic/one hour drama. From working with Janet, you'll enhance your on-camera audition technique specific to television as well as delving into the business side of what TRULY goes on before, during and after a casting session. Whether you're auditioning for an episodic or pilot, this class will teach you the things you need to know that can help you get the call-back and then book the job. Janet will be casting the upcoming 2012 ABC Pilot Season is excited to meet our actors of all types-all ethnicities (18+) for series regulars roles. In the past, she has brought in and auditioned many of our AC actors. Janet Murphy-Butler was the NY casting director on the following ABC pilots: LOST, CUPID, CASTLE, ARMY WIVES, MODERN FAMILY, BETTER OFF TED, HOPE & FAITH, LIFE ON MARS, OCTOBER ROAD, ALIAS, CAVEMEN, DIRT, COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF and A DAY IN THE LIFE among many, many others. She provided on-going casting support for several additional series, including LOST, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, BOSTON LEGAL, and NYPD BLUE. For the 2011-2012 season, Janet was an ABC Casting Consultant and NY casting Director for the following: MAN UP, BAD MOM, OTHER PEOPLE's KIDS, IDENTITY, HALLELUJAH (from the producer of "Desperate Housewives" Marc Cherry), PARTNERS, MISSING (10 episode 2011 summer series starring Ashley Judd), and LAST MAN STANDING (Tim Allen's return to network television). For the ABC-TV pilot season 2010, she cast: MATADORS, SCOUNDRELS, WOMEN ARE CRAZY: MEN ARE STUPID, WRIGHT VS. WRONG, CUTTHROAT, WHO GET'S THE PARENTS, BODY OF PROOF and BOSTON'S FINEST. ***Each week your scene will be recorded as a digital file.
