After RAVE reviews...Actors Connection is thrilled to have SUPERSTAR Roz Coleman teaching our daytime on-camera class for film and TV. This sought after actress is an incredible acting coach and was recently voted Favorite On Camera Teacher in the 2011 Backstage Readers Poll. Roz also served as the on-set coach for HBO's hit series In Treatment starring Gabriel Byrne. In this four week on-camera class, Roz will be covering on-camera basics, script analysis, cold reads, and techniques for working with camera, script and reader. Roz will also be giving you website research as well as great business tips. Perfect for the actor transitioning from stage to screen or wanting to improve their on-camera style, this class will take you to the next level in your career. Currently on Broadway as the stand-by for Angela Bassett in THE MOUNTAINTOP, Roz's other Broadway credits include: RADIO GOLF, SEVEN GUITARS, MULE BONE and PIANO LESSON. Film credits include: IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY starring Zach Galifinakis, FRANKIE AND ALICE starring Halle Berry, BROOKLYN'S FINEST starring Richard Gere and Don Cheadle. TV credits include: recurring roles on NBC's KIDNAPPED, HBO's OZ, NEW AMSTERDAM on FOX, WHITE COLLAR, several appearances on LAW & ORDER: SVU and LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT and she was most recently cast in the HBO pilot SPRING FALL. With her film production company: Red Wall Productions, Rosalyn has cast and directed several award winning films that have screened on TV nationwide and in film festivals all over the world. The love she has for acting and directing does not compare to how much she loves teaching. "The greatest pleasure for me as a teacher is to facilitate the person to reach their humanity. I want my clients to leave the room knowing their personal power as a base to communicate anything that a human is capable of experiencing. The passion, commitment and love of acting I offer to every student and client I work with has turned my job as a teacher/coach into something else. It's not a job; it's a joy." -Roz Coleman ***Each week your scene will be recorded as a digital file. Within one week after each class, you will receive an email with the file to watch and view your work.*** Please upload your headshot and create a resume in your online account upon registration "There are moments when you feel yourself immediately grow as an artist. Some light reveals to you something about your craft and yourself that makes you a better actor. Roz Coleman is one of those lights. From the first class, I was moved emotionally. I learned, in a visceral way, how to dissect from a script a personal connection to the material and how to bring it to life for the camera. I believe her class is a must for anyone interested in breaking into TV and Film." -Sean David Johnson (NY Actor, Headshot Photographer, and Aspiring Filmmaker)
