NEW! Advanced On-Camera TELEVISION Audition Technique - 4 Week On-Camera Class with Jenny Ravitz, Associate CD, Jonathan Strauss Casting - Casting NBC's hit series Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago PD!

Thursday, May 5, 2016, 7pm ET / 4pm PT

This event is in the past.

Here's your opportunity to work for four weeks with this top NY TV Casting Director from one of NY's top TV offices.

Each week will build on the last and all sessions will be on-camera. The course will start off with sides of your choosing so that Jenny can get a "feel" for who you are and the TV/film roles you connect to. From there, Jenny will focus on prepared sides including both co-star and guest star roles for one hour dramas and procedurals. Jenny will cover everything from headshots to audition attire to keeping a positive outlook in this competitive industry.

Don't miss this class!

Jenny Ravitz has served as casting associate for Jonathan Strauss Casting since 2013 and is currently casting three of NBC's hit dramas: Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med (all renewed for the 2016-2017 season!). In addition to her work at Jonathan Strauss Casting, Jenny has served as casting director for Mason Street Warehouse, a non-profit theatre in Saugatuck, MI from 2011 - 2015, and worked for Cindy Tolan's casting office, most notably on the Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She is a proud alumnus of Shenandoah Conservatory in Virginia and a die-hard fan of the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball team.

She just has this ability to see actors, to sense who they are almost immediately, and she really knows how to point an actor in the right direction while still allowing them to grow on their own. With each weeks' class, my confidence and my audition skills improved and soon after our class, I auditioned for a national commercial and BOOKED it!
