Ari's films have won many awards including 1st prizes at both the Milan International Film Festival in Italy and Brooklyn International Film Festival. A graduate of NYU film school and acknowledged as one of its most promising filmmakers, Ari casts many of his own projects.

Currently, he is releasing his comedy, 79 PARTS. He cast over TWENTY AC actors for his current indie film 79 PARTS and has brought in numerous actors that he has met here in his seminars. Recent projects also include the indie feature SATURDAY IN THE PARK.

Past credits include Last Letters from Monte Rosa, The Fallen, Stanley Cuba, The Red Herring as well as many others airing on Showtime, A&E, HBO and The Disney Channel. He constantly uses actors found at Actors Connection and is on the look out for more!

Ari Taub

Ari Taub has been working in the film industry for over 25 years. His films have been screened around the world, covering many themes and genres, but he mostly specializes in prior pieces. They have also been showcased on HBO, Arts and Entertainment, Showtime and the Disney Channel. Having directed four feature films, Ari has also worked in various capacities on numerous independent commercials, music videos, documentaries, industrials and short films He possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Television from the prestigious NYU TISCH School of the Arts. In addition to being praised by the likes of Roger Korman, Roger Ebert and the Los Angeles Times, Ari has received over fifty awards for the films he’s directed, working with stars including, Sandra Bernhard, Edward Furlong, Eric Roberts and Tony Lo Bianco.

In 2004, Ari’s breakout directorial effort was his feature film titled; The Fallen. A World War II drama taken from the perspective of Italian, German and American soldiers won the Best Film and Best Director award, as well as the Audience Award at the Milan International Film Festival. The film also won the the Best New Director Award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival. Ari continued with the theme of war in the feature film, The Final Sacrifice, a film that Chuck Bowen of Slant Magazine called, “Ugly, Gritty and Dangerous.” It also won the Best New Director award at the Brooklyn International Film Festival.

Ari’s follow-up feature, 79 Parts, a high concept dramady set in 1979 about car robberies, youthful high jinks and forbidden love.

Ari is president of Hit and Run Productions Inc, a production company that provides movie equipment to the local indie filmmaking community. Ari has also given himself to mentoring and teaching eager filmmakers, who see him as an influence and inspiration.
